hi my name’s isabel, im 17 years old, and i’m mexican & puerto rican 🇲🇽🇵🇷

i’m super close with my moms side of the family (mexican side) so i know a bunch more about them but i had the chance to finally meet my abuela & abuelo last year for the first time ever. i also had the opportunity in june 17’ to head over to puerto rico with my grandma!

i’m actually named after my great grand mother on my dads side (puerto rican side) and i was so grateful to see a picture of her for the first time ever back in PR, she was so beautiful i wish i had taken a picture of her but hopefully in the future i can visit more often and bring back photos!

i also used to speak spanish super fluently back when i was younger! but now i am a bit rusty so it’s not perfect spanish. oddly enough i can actually understand it kinda perfectly when others speak it i just can’t write and read that well as i would like too. overall i just love my culture so much and every single tradition it comes with it❣️
