Can I Ask You Lovely Folk For Some Help/Advice?
Tuesday the 22nd of October is International Stammering Awareness Day (ISAD) and STAMMA (the newish name for the British Stammering Association. Personally, I think it sounds like the sort of thing an old Tory Politian would say in an effort to try to sound 'down wiv da kids' but anyway) have asked members to go into Starbucks coffee shops on ISAD and 'order coffee'. Reading between the lines, the high ups of STAMMA want local groups to go in en masse, hold up service by stammering heavily, and surreptitiously film the interactions in case staff act 'shirty' with us.
The reason for this is that STAMMA wanted to do a stammering awareness something with all the coffee shop chains, but Starbucks apparently said no/ignored the request.
Firstly, because of the whole 'Friends Don't Let Friends Drink Starbucks' thing, do I have a legitimate "I refuse to spend money at Starbucks because..." excuse, i.e. anti LGBTQIA+ policies, or anything like that, and
Secondly, if I can't get out of it, what are the potential pitfalls?
