since yesterday @gwennevlis listened to my (small) ramble about this post, have a uh. projection moment

Blue Lock Characters and their FP [Favorite Person]

disclaimer: no, they don't actually have BPD nor do i think they do (apart from certified BPD-coded Alexis Ness lol. and Mikage Reo... mayhaps,,), this is just for funsies and angst ideas lol — like literally just me making up fucked up one-sided dynamics because having an FP is one of the worst things about BPD and i think it would be fun to explore the different — and totally made-up — possibilities. Hope y'all'll enjoy whatever blabble this is !

PS: I have BPD. I know what a FP is, or, I know my experience with one. Everyone has different experiences with FPs, as BPD is still a spectrum and we are all individuals who see and experience stuff in our own way. Cheers

Bachira's FP is Isagi Yoichi, if we consider only like, Blue Lock period of time. I don't think it would be his mother because that's how i see it. He defo would attach himself to Isagi so much that he becomes an FP tho, imo. Lonely kid with his first friend. He definitely had a teacher as a fp once. i think. maybe ...... anyway.

— Isagi Yoichi

Isagi never recognized nor did he know the meaning of FP (the acronym or even just what that was / how it worked) so he isn't even able to define who it could be for him. Having said this, from the start of the NEL, it's Noel Noa.

— Nanase Nijiro

From my own characterization of his siblings / siblings dynamics (never shown in the manga, only mentioned in trivia from last oct), i think his FP would be his older brother. If we don't consider him, since he's basically my OC (in a way), then it's Itoshi Rin. Because i need him to crash so badly. Nanase angst mmmmm. — [if we consider the 200k long fics where i actually made him have BPD (kinda), then his FP is Hiori Yo, with very similar reaction-behaviors related to Isagi Yoichi too (or vice versa, i don't recall much of that ff, but his whole being is based on both their way of being/existing, so, ye)]

— Hiori Yo

Hiori's FP is Karasu Tabito. Done. He's the cold remedy. He's the only one who saw through his façade pre Blue Lock. That's his best friend. Coincidentally, and sadly for him, that's his FP. :3 (he doesn't know about it tho. like he is i either in denial or completely unaware, sad ! )

Rin's FP is Sae. That's all I have to say. Someone applaud me. /joking

— Alexis Ness

I will agree with the countless of analyses/ meta post and say that Ness's FP is Michael Kaiser. Yeah. He is. You all are right about that. Good representation 10/10 we even got the neglecting family trauma ! nice (no, BPD isn't only caused by that. i'm aware. but it's possible [see: me :3] so! he is cool)

— Mikage Reo

Reo's FP is Nagi Seishiro ! Such a surprise ! We've seen him literally crash out on screen/paper... I feel like Reo is a cool representation, in a way. Of course, he doesn't actively know what an FP is nor does he think it's Nagi. He's just his best bro (cough, the person he shared his life dream with...). Tbh i don't really consider his character at all, not the biggest nagireo (platonic or romantic) considerator (?) but he deserves to be on this list.

— Don Lorenzo

Lorenzo's FP is defo Marc Snuffy. If we consider canon. If we consider the amazing DonDrago ship, then it's Drago (Enea, the dark haired Drago). Because, again, angst. yeah....

I think Sette would have an Attention Person, and that's Bachira. I actually "headcanon" (meaning: i have to do research about the pd because for now i have not, but i really wanna for future fics) him to have HPD / BPD with HPD traits. Sette has only made friends/bonded with Bachira in his universe, and Bachira is always so kind. Ya know? Infinite supply, Bachira. That's so cool for Sette. I need him to have nice things. [Disclamer: i literally don't know anything about HPD so idk how an AP works. if anyone has more knowledge i'll gladly listen. but i will do research, I swear].

— Hachi

Hachi's FP used to be probably his dad. He has been crashing out since both him and his mum died. Though, his Equal Person is probably Bachira or Sette or Zero [same disclaimer as above: I have little knowledge about NPD, Hachi definitely has BPD, but with NPD traits – will make research on that too dw, if anyone has resources feel free to send, but I will do my own research)

[also feel free to correct me but from what i know the mechanism is: BPD-FavoriteP / NPD-EqualP / ASPD-ExceptionP / HPD-AttentionP — i might be making confusion between some tho, so again, ye. why has this become about Cluster B. Anyway. Ye take the FP headcanons and don't skin me alive for the HPD/NPD (most likely incorrect) mentions]

"What happens if I try to change and manage to? What if I do move on from these thoughts? What will be left of me when everything won't be here anymore?"

Zero looked at him so closely, Hachi felt the bile swirl in his stomach.

His face said it all. The confusion was clear and the hesitation slammed onto him as soon as he spoke.

"Isn't that good though?"

Hachi recognized it, the moment his head shut down. He felt the veil slowly fall on him, hugging his arms and making his body limp and tired. He looked straight at him only because he needed him to try and see through him. He needed him to, he wanted him to. Even if he should have given up a long time ago, with him.

"It is," he hummed.

Zero went to speak again and just pressed his lips in a line, thinking to himself. "Then what... are you trying to tell me?"

Hachi didn't know anymore. He thought he could have been different. He was really an idiot, uh. "Just that."

Zero nodded slowly. "Are you scared you won't actually be able to?"

I'm not. "Yeah, a bit."

"That's okay," he smiled at him, soft, kind smile. It sickened him to his core. "We'll be there no matter what, okay?"

That wasn't reassuring, not when Hachi was about to tear up from the frustration. It could have worked, crying and letting him comfort him just so he could have been happy with himself.

It was just that... he would have wanted him to actually understand. He would have wanted to be heard, the only time he was brave enough to speak.

As always, he was asking for too much for him. For anyone. If himself didn't want to hear him, it was safe to say that nobody at all would have ever wanted to.

"Thanks," he whispered, cursing his body for showing a glimpse of the desperation that echoed in him.

Still, Zero didn't see that either. Not as he would have wanted him to. His smile didn't falter, his eyes just got a bit sad.

Hachi looked away from him because resignation was worse to feel than rage. "Wanna have dinner? The others are waiting."

"Sure, Hachi," he nodded, "will you be okay?"

I don't want to be anymore. He nodded, he tried to smile back. "I'll be fine, Zero."

He was gonna, in a way or another. In his way or Zero's. It didn't matter much anymore. Hachi sat at their table and didn't utter a word to any of them until he said goodnight after dinner. They didn't ask.

At the end of the day, that was what he was. There was no point in trying to shape himself into something nobody would have ever recognized.
