In 2011, “Bloo” Woods and a team of artsy, weird, creative students at Valdosta State University created Dreamanaires.com. The site was created with one primary goal—to create a platform for indie art and urban culture. The team would create content around music, fashion, indie film, dance and more for the up-and-coming artists in those genres. In the following years, the staff dwindled, moving from 12 to 3 to 2, but the mission would remain. Last April, at a time where all things were going well and growth was on the horizon, the site was hacked and the domain name was stolen. Everything posted from 2011 to 2015 was wiped clean and could not be retrieved or salvaged. So, like any dreamer would, Woods picked up the pieces and started everything from scratch as if it were 2011 all over again. He built a new site from scratch, changed the name to Dreamr.xyz, and relaunched the site in November. Since then, things have been going better than ever. With a small staff only two people outside of himself, the site is constantly updated with new content about your favorite major artists as well as the indie artists you should know about. ...

The Letter
My last two semesters of college I took it upon myself to encourage my peers during finals week. Although I am no longer at VSU, some of my peers (and mentees) requested that I compose another letter. This time around I have tasked them with the primary distribution of this letter. Below is the third installment (I guess that’s a good way to put it), I hope that these words find some resonance with you and whatever you are facing or have faced. Be blessed. (I think I may post the last two as well)
At what point do you find peace and understanding in your storm? Do you settle as soon as the clouds get grey? Do you figure it out in the midst of the trials? Or, do you catch on when the dust is about to settle? No matter which person you are it is important know that the end of this chapter is near.
Whereas the last semester was major in the form of tests and trials, this one, if you ask me is critical in terms of transitioning after those trials. You've been tasked with applying what you learned in the last season this time around. Maybe you learned about yourself, or, maybe you mastered some education in these tedious classes. Your lesson may have been about others but this season should have taught you about applying that knowledge into various situations and interaction in order to manifest into wisdom. My friends, the transition does not wait. Change is inevitable and we must grab life by the horns, stand toe-to-toe with the storm and face the fact that we may not always have the answer but the answer will always be revealed in due time.
It is not our job to always have the answer. Some times we do not know why we are facing situations but that does not open the door to fear away from said trials. We encounter tests to come out with a testimony. For those moving on beyond VSU, congratulations. Your life will change and you must keep your head when all about you is shifting and shaking. Stay focused on your goals and press forward even when it looks hopeless. For those sticking around our beloved University, retain your pride or gain some. This semester has capped a lot of change and adjustment for the year(s( to come but do all that you can to shape the atmosphere into the best thing possible.
What's important about all situations is to rule your mind as opposed to allowing it to rule you. You must compel yourself to think positive, do positive and be positive at all times -- even when it seems unfair or uncomfortable. You may feel as if you are losing short term but the long term is what you shoot for. Know that real success (in whatever situation) is rooted in sacrifice and no success has come out of doing, hearing, getting, or seeing what you want all the time.
Each day is a new beginning, pursue what/who you love and never stop growing and developing. Never allow yourself to settle for "good enough" (grades, relationships, goals, etc.). Accept the things you cannot change, have the courage to change the things you can and develop the wisdom to know the difference. Do what you love and the necessary resources will follow, we all have dreams and the only true obstacle between us and those dreams is the reflection we meet in the mirror every morning. Essentially, the goal is to redirect your energy to only that which is good for you, watch your thoughts and what feeds our mind for it will grow and produce fruit in many ways.
You have all the capacity needed to excel this week and you shall but it is on you to believe that. Once you believe an idea you can create the atmosphere to make it happen and it is then in your hands to do just that. Do all that you can to make life and it's many turns go your way, if they do, then celebrate, but if not, just learn that maybe that wasn't for you or the timing is off. Everything happens -- and doesn't happen -- for a reason and in the right time you will but fret not. No matter what you did this school year, this semester, this month, this week, or this day your task is to aim for better tomorrow. Be great, Blazers. We don't raise quitters.
Appropriate Thoughts - Isaiah Smart
I want to see the natural curls of your twist out bounce
I want to see the stuttered sway in your hips after we blow your back out
I want to hear the angelic tones of your voice
I want to hear your devilish moans when you’re moist
When you walk in to the room you consume the attention
Or maybe that’s my mental connection to this erection
What’s crazy about this vision is that exists in this moment
And what’s missing from it all is your rose petal softness to ease my cement
See, I get these thoughts at what may be inopportune times
And I honesty don’t know how I can focus on my classmates’ presentation when I’m imagining how you bump and grind
I catch your eye as you walk to the front of the class
Luckily, my eyes don’t vocalize to the professor all the sins I would commit to that...
I think what’s happened is that I’ve finally seen a woman
And the way you carry yourself is simply stunning
The race to your heart has begun and be assured that I’m running
And I when I get to your heart, that sweet core is mine and believe you will be...
So, as you walk by with your love potion taking its toll on my body
I want you to know I see you in and out of that pantsuit and I want to make you somebody
I see that makeup coming off so I can see the real you
And I see your hair tied back so we don’t mess up that do
When the clothes are on and I’m weak on my knees, just know I’m coming for more than your brains when I sweep you off your feet
