“Listen, I’m not sure I want to do this!” Isak says, trying his best to seem like he cares way less than he actually does.
“Why not? Haunted houses are fun!” Even practically vibrates out of his skin from excitement, he has stars in his eyes while looking at the haunted house.
“What? Are you scared? I’ll protect you, don’t worry baby,” Even grins at Isak, throwing an arm over Isak’s shoulder.
Isak scoffs and makes a halfhearted attempt to shrug Even’s arm off him, “Am not! I am the master of haunted houses!”
Even laughs softly, Isak proclaiming himself to be the master of something is his favorite quirk of Isak.
Isak rolls his eyes at his boyfriend, “Come one, we’ll go to your stupid haunted house. I reserve the right to tell you ‘I told you so’ when it sucks!”
“Sure, babe,” Even says, placing a kiss on Isak’s cheek, making the younger boy roll his eyes once more.
Once into the haunted house, the automated creepy laughter gives Isak the chills.
Listen, he’s not scared, he’s just… not very into creepy laughter okay?!
It’s around the third thing falling out of the ceiling and into his face, that Isak is done. Like, 100%, over and out, D O N E!
He just wants out of this miserable hell hole that he let Even drag him into. His nerves are wrecked and he doesn’t like any of it.
Even, sensing his discomfort, squeezes his hand, “We’re almost out, sorry I dragged you in here!”
“It’s okay,” Isak answers through gritted teeth.
And then… disasters happens… or maybe the funniest thing ever, depending on who you’re asking.
A guy in full clown attire jumps out from somewhere on Isak’s right, shouting “boo” at the top of his lungs, and grabbing for Even, as if to pull him away from Isak.
Isak reacts on pure adrenaline, punching the guy right on his nose with enough force Even can hear it break.
The guy screams, Isak screams, Even doubles over laughing.
“My hero,” Even wheezes in between laughter, Isak just glares at him.
They never enter a haunted house ever again.
