I'm literally trash 😩😩😩
I’d like to introduce you to the newest member of my family, Mercutio! He’s a crowntail dragon scale betta, with white and red coloring. He currently resides in a 5 gallon filtered and heated tank with silk plants and lovely china pots (which have been properly disinfected). I’m so happy to be a fish mom, and I can’t wait to see this little guy’s personality reveal itself (he’s already pretty curious and feisty, just like his mom!).
☁️ Early morning vibes ☁️
I have to pick the books I want to be photographed with in my senior pictures and it's probably one of the hardest decisions I've ever made.
I went to my last homecoming yesterday.
For the almost college students.
So I'm a senior in my high school. Like most seniors, I get asked all those annoying questions like "What are your future plans?" "What are you majoring in?" "Are you going to a trade school or a university?" "Where are you looking to go" Now, being the person I am in the school that I'm in, these questions usually spark disappointment. "What are your future plans?" "I don't exactly know yet." "Oh... well maybe you should start thinking about that..." "What are you majoring in?" "English." "Oh so you want to be a teacher?" "Absolutely not." "Well then good luck finding a job for an english major. Have you looked into engineering?" "Are you going to a trade school or university?" "A university." "Have fun with your student loans." "Where are you looking to go?" "Some place far away." "Yeah I said that too. You'll change." See, I come from a town that you can never really escape from unless you have A) Money or B) A really really awesome talent. I, unfortunately, have neither. Most kids from my school go to colleges and universities that are no more than an hour away. No one really wants to leave, and to be honest, no one really wants you to leave either. Every academic professional in my life has cringed when I told them my plans to move out of state. So let me give you some advice. From the almost college student. Screw your teachers, guidance councilors, parents, etc. You can go as far as you want. You can study whatever you want, and you can be happy doing so. If you do it only for the money, you will never be happy. So go, branch out, take on the world, live your life, and have fun. And for the love of all things good and holy, DO NOT GET STUCK IN THAT TOWN.

I was tagged by bookoffee to do the 10 questions tag
1. Who is your all time favorite OTP? Probably Anna and Etiénne from Anna and the French Kiss.
2. Any trilogies that you recommend that are not that known? Yes, I highly recommend the Mysterious Benedict Society. It’s fun, clever, and very interesting.
3. Thoughts on book to movie adaptations? When done right, they can be fantastic, especially for people who don’t enjoy reading or are not capable of reading. When done wrong, well… ask Rick Riordan.
4. Are you doing a reading challenge? and how many books are you aiming for this year? I tried doing the reading challenge, but because school and work is taking up most of my free time, I haven’t had much time for reading at all. My goal was 17 (since that’s what I turned this year) but I’m pretty sure I haven’t even hit 7.
5. Ebooks or physical? Physical, but only because I don’t have enough money for an Ereader. Although, even if I did I would still pick physical. I have absolutely no disrespect for people who prefer Ereaders, but personally I like having a real book in my hands.
6. Do you drink any beverages or have any snacks when you read? I try too, but usually I get so distracted by the story that whatever I’m eating/drinking gets ignored.
7. Do you carry around a bag to carry books in? Not a separate bag no, but one of my criteria for buying new purses is that it must be able to fit a book. 8. Green tea or strawberry lemonade? Green tea. I’m not a huge lemonade person.
9. Hardcovers or paperbacks? Paperbacks. While hardcovers are prettier, paperbacks are cheaper and easier to carry around in my bag. Also dust jackets annoy me.
10. Which author would you like to hang out with for a day? And what would you guys do? Maggie Stiefvater because she’s so effing cool. We could ride around in her awesome car all day and I would would beg her on behalf of all the Raven Cycle fans to spare Gansey.
My questions: 1. Hunger Games, Divergent, both, or neither? 2. Do listen to music while reading? What do you listen too? 3. Favorite book-related object? 4. Favorite villain? 5. Favorite sidekick? 6. If you could resurrect a character from the dead, who would it be? 7. Roughly about how many books do you think you own (Ebooks count!)? 8. If you had to choose, which dystopian universe would you live in? 9. In your opinion, what character is the best example of character development? 10. You get to have dinner with an author and the character they’re famous for. Who would you pick? What would you ask them?
Sorry, I’m on mobile so I can’t link specific people. So go crazy followers, and tag isasbooks if you do it.
