☀ for one muse to surprise the other with a home-cooked meal
MOST OF THE TIME, it was best not to trust Ozymandias anywhere in a kitchen. He was exceedingly proud, so asking him to do something simple like cutting carrots might as well be equivalent to telling him to fold clothes. In other words, it was best to not bother. However, in the very, very rare moments that he did go along with such things, it was certainly worth writing down on a calendar since chances of him being that generous was no different from catching sight of a shooting star on a clear summer night. So, then, why was it that he stood before Ari now with a plate full of food? And why was it, that it looked edible? Was this a trick? Was the sweet aroma that wafted from that meal a lie? ❝I made you some baked gnocchi. I was not sure if you have had this before, but it looked rather delicious when I saw it in the recipe book.❞
He was rather partial to Italian food sometimes, and so the moment he saw it, Ozymandias wanted to make it. It had been rather simple to throw together, the only thing taking a bit of time being the prep. Feeling awkward, he pushed it towards Ari a little when she stared, wanting to slip out of this situation and go about his business. ❝Anyway, I was just bored when I made this. That, and a pharaoh cannot constantly accept gifts from another without giving something in return. So, take this and enjoy. Since it was made my hand, surely it will be a dish to remember. Happy New Year as well, Ari.❞
