High school science competitions can fuck themselves straight to hell. And I say that as a product of them.

giờ này năm nay là lễ bế mạc kết thúc cho một mùa thi visef quốc gia ở miền bắc. mình cũng không biết cơ cấu năm nay thế nào, nhưng mà năm nay cái tỉnh bé tí xíu đấy được tận 04 dự án trong vùng lựa chọn cho đi thi quốc tế liền. vừa sốc mà lại vừa vui.

sốc vl vì cái tỉnh này năm nay lại có nhiều dự án đi thi quốc tế nhất. trường cũ tận hai slot, đâu khác gì chuyên khtn. ơ các em giỏi vãi, các em sáng ngời vl - để lại cho một cựu đang nằm vụng thối và viết vài dòng đây phải nghĩ lại về những điều thối nát mà bản thân đã làm.

vui vl vì sớm thôi, sau khi tin này vang lên, số phận của những đứa trẻ đi thi khoa học kỹ thuật ở trường cũ sẽ tốt hơn ngày xưa. bệnh thành tích đầy rẫy những tội lỗi, nhưng cũng may là được cái thưởng ưu tiên. dẫu sao khi có thành tích nổi bật thì mới sinh ra ám ảnh đến bệnh tật. chưa tưởng tượng được các em sẽ ưu tiên gì, nhưng chắc chắn là các em sẽ không còn bị quỵt tiền như các chị khoá trước nữa. các em yên tâm, tiền thưởng, tiền tài trợ cho các em sẽ được bay sớm hơn (dù có bị cắt xén dăm ba phần), có khi lại còn được nhiều hơn ấy chứ. tầng năm thiên đường có thể sẽ được sang nơi khác thiên đường hơn(?) và các em sẽ cảm thấy mình được thống lĩnh hơn chăng? nói chung là viễn tưởng thì nhiều, nhưng trường cũ đổi xoành xoạch nên cũng chẳng biết đường nào mà lần.

nhưng buồn khi nghĩ đến hồi mình thi. thi ở quê nội chả có mẹ gì chơi, chứ đâu như các em năm ngoái với năm nay. tiền thì hứa sung hứa cột hứa lèo, đến mãi lớp 12 sắp bị đuổi rồi mới được cái tiền mà đáng ra nên có từ khi nào. hội thi khkt cũng chẳng buồn được quan tâm, đã vậy lại còn bị kỳ thị, bị ghét cho. hồi đấy giá trị giải thưởng cũng đâu kém hsgqg đâu, nhưng mà có nhất hay bét thì vẫn chẳng được để ý, rồi lúc gọi là để ý thì thực chất chỉ là vặn vẹo, bắt bẻ lên xuống giáo viên lẫn học sinh.

thôi thì qua cái thời đấy rồi. giờ đang nằm vụng thối, không muốn thi cử gì hết, và đọc tin về các em. chị không biết liệu tương lai các em sẽ thế nào (vì các dự án isef của việt nam các năm trước hầu như đến ba là cùng), nhưng khi hoàn thành việc xin visa - hi vọng các em sẽ được tận hưởng những góc đẹp của hoa kỳ.

My best friend got arrested two days ago, probably. He's not even gay. I just knew yesterday. We don't know where they took him; we don't know what charges did they press against him. It's not getting better. I managed to erase my hard drive, my phone, my laptop, and everything. I study DNA sciences. I wanted to be a great scientist and be the first gay to win a Nobel prize. Alan Turning, Francis Crick, J. Michael Bishop; those are my inspiration. I won first place grand award in my country's national science fair, and I represented my country in the international fair in the U.S., at the age of eighteen. I thought I could make difference. ISEF slogan was to 'inspire to the change the world'. But I should have known better. They didn't mean my world, they probably were talking about their world or some other world I don't know about. But where I come from, it's different.

Maybe we are over. Let's say they succeed in scaring us and terrorizing us. They are wrong. "We don't like jails, but we aren't afraid of them." ~ Mahienour Almasry. They are wrong. They think it will end with us, but they know nothing. History doesn't forget, and tomorrow they will be other gay Egyptians who will fight once again. It doesn’t end with us. They know nothing about us but that we are filth, and that's because they're ignorant and arrogant. They don't know the history, they can't stop the inevitable.
