considering junkyu had been a trainee for a few years already, he knew quite a few people already. most he met through being trainees too, whether they had bumped into each other in the building or they were working on the same trainee mission or something else. so it was safe to say he knew a good chunk of people, though with new trainees coming in each year, he still didn't quite know everyone. and that was something he wanted to branch out on, getting to know the newer trainees, so when he spotted iseul not too far away while they were all huddled in the same room ready to learn about the traditional korean games, he decides to make his move.
in the most platonic way possible, of course.
"hey you," junkyu starts, corners of his lips curling upwards into a little amused smile, trying his best to seem as friendly as he could. he had heard that is rather darker look made him seem completely different to how he really is, which was quite a surprise.
"i've never played this game in my life, and it looks kind of complicated." he tuts at himself as he stares down at his hands holding one of the sticks. "do you know how to play? you're from vancouver, right?" pause, while he wonders whether to slide in this complete random question. "is bagged milk really a thing in toronto?"
