ok but imagine this
jim and bones are having dinner in jim’s quarters like they do every third wednesday, it’s their time to catch up and relax but halfway through the meal bones just sighs and says that he can’t do this anymore and before jim can do anything bones starts talking a million miles a minute about how much he cares about jim and how he can’t jeopardize their friendship and he should just leave
but before he can leave jim grabs the back of his shirt and spins him around, grabs the doctor’s face and promptly smacks their foreheads together as he rushes to kiss bones and they just kind of awkwardly stand there until jim clears his throat and says “I love you too” and this time bones starts the kiss but somehow manages to knock their foreheads together again but this time they just chuckle and keep trying until they get it right
