much to hazel's surprise, the club had really turned into an actual safe place. she cared about these girls - and in turn they cared about her. it was nice to not be the third wheel for once. especially after being beat within an inch of her life. it had been a surprise when all of them ( minus josie and pj, of course ) had shown up at her house .. enthusiastic to do everything in their power to help her heal.

the cheerleaders had always been kind to her, but especially stella rebecca, who she's honestly still surprised even took her suggestion to join the club in the first place. slowly, hazel had begun to heal, but still her new friends stuck around. there's a wince as she moves, glancing back at the other with an apologetic smile. "i really thought i could beat that guy, you know. i can't believe that meathead told me i was going to beat up pj. i was so ready for that! can you imagine?"

light   is   filtering   through   the   curtains,   illuminating   the   living   room   of   the   house.   eddie's   head   is   resting   on   the   couch,   eyes   closed   trying   to   avoid   the   brightness   of   the   morning   in   an   attempt   to   alleviate   his   throbbing   headache.   since   billy   and   camila   left,   the   house   constantly   feels   empty,   like   it   was   missing   a   vital   part   of   it.   but   the   four   remaining   had   found   ways   to   ignore   the   feeling,   like   partying   every   night,   staying   out   until   late.   eddie's   beginning   to   think   it   might've   been   a   bad   idea   when   karen   joins   him   in   the   living   room   and   the   sound   of   her   footsteps   is   enough   to   make   his   head   pound.   he   vaguely   remembers   a   discussion   between   them   last   night,   something   about   the   girl   he'd   been   seeing   and   how   eddie   had   ended   it   last   night.   he's   ready   to   forget   all   about   it   when   he   gets   up   to   retrieve   a   cup   of   coffee   when   karen   brings   the   topic   on   the   table   again.

“   ugh,   i   honestly   didn't   think   it   was   such   a   big   deal.   ”   since   when   did   his   dating   life   become   such   an   important   topic   ?   he   always   discussed   his   recent   romantic   conquests   with   graham,   warren   and   karen.   at   this   point,   he   wasn't   sure   karen   even   counted   as   a   chick   in   his   mind.   she   was   simply   ...   one   of   them.   but   maybe   he   should   stop   if   this   was   going   to   be   her   reaction   everytime   he   stopped   dating   someone.   “   she   was   nice   and   all,   but   she's   not   —   ”   camila   ?,   his   brain   supplies.   “   what   i'm   looking   for   right   now.   ”   eddie   shrugs,   finally   taking   his   first   sip   of   coffee   and   immediately   feeling   better.   “   if   you   like   her   that   much,   i'll   give   you   her   number.   ” ( @isgull )

it's too cryptic. she knows everyone else would hear this and believe that someone is dying, but she doesn't want to believe that. she might believe that they're never going to get back home, but following lottie's every word and believing it as fact wasn't going to get them home either. she raises her eyebrows, a serious look on her face, "unless non human food ends up on our doorstep, i don't want to know anything. we're running out of bear meat, we need some actual action."

"oh my god," a sigh escapes her lips and she almost just walks back into the cabin. it's bad enough that most of the girls follow lottie's every word (including van) but she really can't deal with more of it today. "is that a threat? or just one of your visions?" of course she doesn't believe in ghosts, why would she?

                          A slow nod is given as she looks from Lottie, turning her attention to the mossy tree. "But does this have to be a secret? Won't the others want to see it?" Misty asked quietly. Most would have just seen another tree, but it was more than that. She didn't know what it exactly it was, but whatever it was...Lottie seemed to be entuned with it; the fact she killed a grizzly bear easily spoke volumes.

However the mere mention of secrets had her feeling a touch uneasy. Her mother always said keeping secrets wasn't good for the heart and soul, that it would eat at both and leave nothing behind. And as far as having secrets went, the blonde didn't think the tree and what it could possibly do was that big of a secret. Nor did she think it should be kept from the others. "Maybe we should tell...a few? See if anyone else is interested?"

Kate raised an eyebrow at the younger woman’s outburst. “I am afraid that that is the curse of the Bridgerton family. There are so many siblings and their spouses that whenever there is a concern, you are bombarded with questions.” She purposefully ignored the fact that she regularly participated in such events. She did love her in-laws after all. “What exactly is the concern this time? Is Hyacinth still causing mischief?”

       her mouth had barely parted to say “hello” before smalls had grabbed her hand before heading off. her feet stumbled along as she basically allowed herself to be led goodness knows where. once the initial shock wore, she eventually found her words and called out: “where are we going, mademoiselle?” were they headed to somewhere urgent where her presence was needed? or were they headed to the docks where miss smalls could end her presumably unbearable existence?

       “i appreciate you doing so, you really did not have to.” if angélique had it her way, she would have hastily wrapped her hand up and dealt with it at home. however, sarah had been so keen and so insistent that it would be uncouth of her to say no. she would make it up to the jacobs girl somehow. perhaps, it could be with some cookies or new sewing supplies. her wounds were still being dressed yet her head was already swirling with ideas to thank her.
