decided to goof after karate class for my idol on tik tok
Just an errant thought
At my karate we have this sort of saying. My sensei (teacher) will shout "are you ready?" and the correct response is "I was born ready, sensei!" Not everyone is born ready. When I was an orange belt (about 1/3 of the way to first dan black belt), people in my class would call me The Oracle because I knew everything I had to and more of the top of my head. I learnt things two belts in advance (equivalent of 6 months to a year), and everything before that I knew off by heart with exact detail. I was first off the line. That is not something you are born with. That is something that you learn, and that you earn. I was not born ready, but for some reason I think that makes me stronger. I am a better karate-ka because I wasn't born ready.
Can't wait!
Karate starts back at normal times tomorrow and I'm so excited, I can't wait! I'll be going from training only two classes a week due to the school holiday program, to training five classes a week and helping teach four, all over four nights! It's like my love is returning to me :)
