Brave bird protecting her nesting tree and her master because how do the spirits even dare to set their foot near them. One more piece from the series I did last semester with my tree guy! This one was based on a pretty old idea that I really wanted to draw someday and the final I turned in for the assignment had few things bothering me, so I fixed the ones that were bothering me the most because I have to work on about 1564516 other things now :l

Schoolwork time! I worked more on this project this semester, which means more Ishke! This time as a tiny sapling kid. I ditched the lineart completely with this and went straight from the thumbnail, so yes actual painting practise!! Again, I definitely need to practise it waaaay more often, but at least this turned out kind of pretty I think.

I need to paint something other than Ishke though, I have few more illustrations with him/the world he lives in from this semester and some cool worldbuilding development (that started with me questioning if tree people have nipples)(I'm serious) but I'm really burnt out from doing that for an entire year as schoolwork :l

I actually really like how this picture turned out, I don't think I was that happy about something I finished for years.... the link has a wallpaper-ish size, I’m not sure how tumblr’s gonna handle it here.

It’s part of my schoolwork from this (and next) semester, I’m trying to fight not being able to properly spend time on my art because of homework by having exactly that as homework because I can :> So I painted bunch of leaves and other things and will keep painting them for a while longer. And sometimes post them?

...SO WHAT ABOUT THE FORESTS?? (nope.)

I was replaying Limbo and wanted to draw a forest because of the beginning of the game and then got carried away. Seriously though, this was tiny doodle in my sketchbook and I would say coloring didn't take that long either if I was keeping ANY track of time. But I should be doing stuff for finals too and err...it's kinda not the fun kind of stuff. In my defense, most of time I was doing this was while waiting for paint to dry but I'm getting distracted way too much by other things too.

At least Ishke finally has pretty finished picture <3
