She’s been weak lately. Even before she got clobbered by a fucking weight, she’d been weak. So when Cora falls asleep, tucked into his side like she used to curl into him when they were younger, the thought of waking her up doesn’t even cross Derek’s mind. Not even once. And she looks so… peaceful. Like she doesn’t have anything to worry about. Like she’s younger again. Maybe even like she’d never even left him to begin with. Derek brushes a bit of hair from her face and the arm around his torso tightens when he places a kiss to her forehead.                                                      I missed you too.
