haha, it’s not a problem, I just did a double-take the first time. I’ve never really heard of Legacy of Kain?? Should I check it out?
Ah, sorry again! It's alright, not a lot of people are aware the game series exists.
I'll be honest, I really want to scream, "let me show you everything" at the top of my lungs right now, but I am going to try to remain calm. If you like vampires, magic, philosophy, a stunning story-line, gratuitous amounts of violence and a full spectrum of colorful characters all tied together in a human shaped bow, then by all means give Legacy of Kain a go (also you can buy three of the games on steam for $10 each).
I explained a bit more about in response to your tag --> http://joz-yyh.tumblr.com/post/51590341821/ive-been-tagged
ishtarclan replied to your post: I just want to draw the fuck out of every LoK...
this keeps confusing me because lok=legend of korra to me, haha
Yes, that's my fault! I usually try to write out LoK as "Legacy of Kain," so there's no call for confusion, but I get lazy and settle for using the acronym instead.
I apologize since it's first nature for me to use LoK for "Legacy of Kain." I've been doing it for over ten years now and there wasn't a need for any disambiguation until the new Avatar spin-off was announced.
I know every fan has their own default settings when it comes to associating titles so I'll be more attentive about clarifying.
Fear not followers, I won't be tagging anyone else. Here we go~
1) Talk about one thing you love for a solid paragraph and why you love it (ESSAY I DEMAND IT)
I know this is going to seem sudden, but I've been a huge Legacy of Kain fan ever since my tweens so I am going to rant about that because no one ever wants to talk about it.
My God, where do I even begin with this game franchise? How about the exceptional dialogue/monologue content. I seriously want to own an audio book of all the sound files because it's electromagnetic philosophy always gets my brain high on creativity (I may have downloaded all the cutscenes in attempts to have the next best thing). The Edios team casted an incredibly loveable and talented group of voice actors (who doesn't love middle-aged men fighting over the ownership of one willful soul). Each voice actor has vocal cords capable of producing mass amounts of sexy. I would marry all these people if I could.
Now for the plot. It's convoluted to say the least. These games will make your head spin if you're not paying attention. I should try to find that paradox diagram the fandom created in an effort to better understand the chain of events because the story is like scribbled mess of circles. I was turned on even more when I realized that the main antagonistic force behind the game is actually an alien race hell bent on taking over the world (there's also a giant squid competing for the role of supreme religious leader). I like that. I love the mystery and the science fiction aspect of the story. I also cannot tell you how much I appreciate educated and realistic tales about vampires. LoK follows the old myths and combines it with a new twist. A vampire is not limited to his alluring pallor, or his super speed or his mind control. He is equipped with telekinesis, pyrokinesis, shapeshifting and bitch my weapon is the Soul Reaver DO NOT fuck with me. I will never get tired of watching the unique way Kain drains the blood of his victims because biting necks is so last century and it's much more convenient to guide it into your mouth from five feet away.
Lastly, I'll touch upon characterization. Characters are fleshed out and each has one has a recognizable personality and physical design. They are not cliche and cannot be described using one word. These characters have their own sense of morality and it's causes the player struggle to get a firm grasp on what is right and what is wrong. I know it's hard for me to pick a least favorite character because of this (*cough* everyone hates you Moebius *cough*).
*inhales*
*exhales*
Thank you if you made it this far. I know the journey must've been an arduous one.
2) How much do you love me?
As much as one bisexual female can love another female. *grabs you from behind and smells your hair*
3) What is that one thing you regret? EVERYONE HAS ONE DON’T LIE
I try to live my life so that I won't have any regrets so it's hard to find something that makes me feel guilty.
4) You find yourself stuck in middle Earth. What creature are you?
Fír
5) If we went on a trip somewhere, where would you take me/I take you?
The comic book/trading card shop! Let me buy you a new card to compliment that mighty fine deck of yours baby.
6) THE BEST BAND OF LIFE?
Most of my favorite music comes from independent artist like RONALD JENKEES and LANA DEL REY.
7) What is the one thing you could not live without?
Chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and mechanical pencils and click erasers.
8) Swiggety swag whats in your bag? (ie purse. Or body bag idk if you’re a part of the hannibal fandom anything is possible)
Um... I probably shouldn't answer that. It's dark inside my messenger bag and my hand might get eaten off by leftover food if I reach into the boundless pit.
9) What is your name?
Call me Jozzie. It's close enough to my real name (which I hate so much I don't like giving it out).
10) What is your quest?
To seek the Holy Grail!
All joking aside, I would like to be a successful artists meaning I can make a living with my art.
11) What is your favorite colour?
More like colors because my favorites are white, blue, silver and black.
12) Feelings about dubstep?
Overrated. It wasn't so bad and then and everyone started doing it for popularity's sake. Don't get me wrong, there are some dubstep songs I really enjoy, but the majority of the songs out there are too similar in sound for me to notice a difference.
☯ : Genderbent headcanon - Wait like both of them or just one? Because I’ve imagined Irate with Genderbent Marik (of course haha) but not both. But in the little thing I thought up Joey and LadyMarik (idk what her name would be. mariqua hahaa) were about to get down, right? But Marik was a virgin — no time for such trivial matters as sex when there are pharaohs to kill — and hated the idea of sex in general because due to the dynamics of heterosexual relationships that would give Joey quite a bit of control and she does not like that uh-uh. But Joey is a suave and cute little booger so they…worked it out. (◡‿◡✿)
☠ : Drinking/drunk headcanon - Joey absolutely refuses to get drunk. He’s seen what alcohol can do to a person’s personality and relationship with others through his father. And he fears that the alcoholism could be genetic so he doesn’t even want to risk going down that same path. Unfortunately, Marik turns to alcohol a lot of he’s having trouble since it numbs all the emotions and worries swirling around in his head. They clash over that a lot.
☾ : Sleep headcanon - As two young males with no sort of educational degrees and living in a big city, both of them have to take multiple jobs that leave their sleep schedules off in the first place. Although Joey catches naps whenever he can (he gets caught napping in the break room sometimes, and once lost a job over it. whoops). Marik doesn’t sleep nearly as much (he always worries about nightmares but won’t say that. that’s weakness, you know) and so for most of the nights he gets home before Joey, Marik will just stay up and wait for him. Then they sleep together in bed. Or sometimes if Joey comes home really really really late then Marik ends up falling asleep on the couch so Joey just pulls some blankets and a pillow down on the floor near him. (<333333)
♤ : Cooking headcanon - Neither are any sort of chef so usually it’s easy-to-make meals in the form of ramen or microwavable dinners or something. Marik sometimes makes or at least tries to some of his favorite Egyptian dishes, but Joey doesn’t think they’re so good. At all (not enough meat). And Marik feels the same when Joey is cooking bacon, hamburger, or any other one of the hundreds of animal products Joey has as often as he can. Marik hates the smell of cooking meat in general but Joey just tells him to plug his nose and be quiet ‘cuz it’s good and he wouldn’t know good food if it bit him on the ass. Awwww~
