"I have a counter-offer"
"I'm going to kill all of you and keep all for free".
Troll Isilwen is the most dangerous Isilwen. Just saying. She always loses it when this quest comes. :P Understandable. She is getting tired of your shit, shems. And she had to put with it for a LONG time now. ;)
It bugs me that the only way to enter the Alienage hospice without fighting is bribing the guard.
A little OOC, but it'll have to do.
Gonna do a bit of Dragon Age liveblogging.
Since next week I won't have much time to finish my endless unfinished games, I'll try to finish this one, which is an Isilwen replay. I have until Sunday to finish it. :P I'm about to start the Alienage quest and the Landsmeet, plus some unfinished secondary quest I have around there to gain some XP... if I have time, that is. x3
Isilwen Mahariel .chr meme
Name and age: Isilwen Mahariel (25 years old)
Cultural background: Dalish elf
Description: The pacific and rather idillic (for their circumstances) life that Isilwen held with her clan shatters in pieces when she and her childhood friend Tamlen discovered some ancient ruins with symbols of their people's lost heritage and even darker secrets. A mirror took Tamlen away, and made Isilwen sick with an illness that would have killed her if she wasn't made a Warden forcefully. Rather than do her duty, what she searches in her journey is to find her purpose in the dark times that surround a land and people that aren't even her own.
Purpose: "Warden-Commander / Ambassador of the Dalish"
Speech Pattern: She mostly talks in a rather quick, even musical pace, carefree as her personality is, in normal circumstances. As she grows up and time passes on her, however, one can see the weight of all the difficulties she had to put on with, darkening her voice considerably.
Voiced by: Cecile Corbel (totally head canon xD)
Demeanor: She normally comes up as warm and friendly, even playful, augmenting the childish impression people get on her. However, when she has to get on to business, she totally focuses on what she has to do, straight as an arrow, giving the best of her.
Flaws: Has an HORRIBLE sense of orientation, specially in cities and human settlements, even if she tries to correct it. She would hide her feelings from everyone else rather than worry others or for the group and the cause's sake. Unfortunately, she can't do this for long, and when feelings affect her too much she is of no good to others. Has too much of a good heart, and can't see anybody (and I mean anybody) suffering, even if they had done her some wrong. Her strong curiosity has put her in more troubles that she had ever imagined, and specially in the beginning as she was really naïve, she has trouble with people taking her seriously, even amongst her companions and friends.
Morals: She is rather noble in spirit, and would put others' benefit before her own. Selfless and generous, she really likes to help in what she can if there are people in need, but she would question authority from time to time and learns to not take things for granted from most people. As she can't stand any suffering of any kind, she specially dislikes oppressors and injustice.
Personal Background: Isilwen is the only child of the previous Keeper of her clan and a halla herder, both dead due to a bandit attack. She was raised by a common friend of her parents, and didn't learn the truth about them until she was much older. She was expected to become a First and follow the steps of her father, but as she grew up, no magic abilities would come of her. She then trained as a hunter as many of her clan companions do, although she always held special interest in stories and magic. Everyone says she makes a best storyteller than hunter, in fact, as she doesn't have any sense of orientation, which is vital for a hunter, but she was adamant in becoming one and be "useful" to the clan.
Special Skills: Can be really persuasive if she wants to, and it doesn't take her much to gain friends or other people's trust. Agile and quick, she really makes it hard for enemies to strike her, so the weapons she normally wield are quite light for what is expected of a warrior. She can't wield any magic, but because of her heritage and being akin to magic as she is because of her race, in few occasions she can use her Fade connection as an energy to fight (Spirit Warrior), although that leaves her very drained of her stamina afterwards. She is very creative and has a great imagination and wit.
Accent: She speaks in a very neutral accent as many Dalish elves do, with traces of Fereldan accent due to her having roamed Ferelden more than any other country in Thedas.
Appearance: Light and fair complexion and skin, propense to sunburnt; small and lithe as many of her kind. Her hair is platinum blonde as her father's, straight and shoulder length, which she likes to braid, although when in battle she keeps it away from her face most of the times, either in ponytails or buns. She has quite big, blue eyes, tiny eyebrows, and her nose tip slightly turned-up, inherited from her mother.
Archetype: The Hero/Eternal Child
Intelligence: Slightly above average, although her knowledges come from life experiences in the wilds rather than from books, as she reads and writes quite poorly.
Occupation: Hunter, Grey Warden (later Warden-Commander for a year) and ambassador of the Dalish
Ties to Other Characters: Had a romance with Alistair, strong friendship with Leliana, Wynne and Sigrun.
Mahariel Meme (for the Mahariel Week) Part 3
Aaaand part 3 :D
Mahariel in Love and Friendship
Who does Mahariel become good friends with? Why? This is perfectly pictured here.
Who does Mahariel fall in love with, and why? If it’s a human, how does that make them feel? Also, answered here. Isilwen doesn't really care about Alistair being human, although realizing she has fallen in love with him was pretty awkward at first and she questioned it a little. Her crisis with him comes because of other sources, about his heritage and how does he feels about the Wardens.
What does Mahariel like best about their lover? His ability to laugh even on the darkest times and his will to move forward, even he had bad times too and he liberates himself about them from time to time. She doesn't mind at all to listen to what he has to say, even if it is silly. Because she can say very silly things too.
What does Mahariel want from a relationship?: To love and be loved. And not think too much about other complications there. Unfortunately, this is impossible for her in her story.
Post-Game
What does Mahariel do after the game is over? What are their ultimate goals, and how, if at all, do they tie into Mahariel’s identity as a Dalish elf? And, of course, this is all answered here. In great detail. ;)
