Get behind the actual issue! I admit loving the Star Spangled Banner, but unlike Lift Ev'ry Voice, I only ever knew the first verse. (I know all four stanzas to the Black National Anthem. You should too.). When you learn the gory history behind the song, and couple it with the history of what it meant to be Black in Answers, and compound THAT with a real life snapshot of what it means to be Black in America today?? You wouldn’t be able to stand up either.
