I absolutely believe that the natural state of human social bonding is group cuddling. I just believe it. Yes yes yes yes yes does 'natural' really exist, 'community' also sucks, people are mean everywhere, toxic bullshit all over the place, bullying, predators, power hierarchies, gossip and shame - BUT
Is there anything that is as fulfilling as chilling with friends and sort of friends in a pile? Huddling for warmth? Playing games and talking and laughing ?
Yes probably, but would not surprise me if it fulfills a deep need for intimacy and belonging and safety in people.
