Three details in Case Files that always fuck me up whenever I think about them: 

In the anime, when Waver sees Iskandar again, his voice briefly cracks and goes back to how it sounded when he was 19 and they’d first met. Like what the fuck yall didn’t have to do that but you did 

As an adult, Waver is almost always seen wearing a piece of red clothing amongst all his blacks. He never did this prior to his meeting with Iskandar in Zero, so the red is highkey supposed to represent Iskandar himself. This is even more apparent in FGO (and other Fate works!) where he’s wearing a red coat with a gold scarf draped over his shoulders. Iskandar had a red cloak/mantle with a gold/yellow fur twim around the shoulders

The most obvious one: Waver keeping Iskandar’s catalyst, which is part of his cloak/mantle, with him at all times and being genuinely distressed when it’s stolen from him
