AEW: This Tuesday, 12/16! It's a Christmas miracle! For one night only, #AEWDark RETURNS with a Stocking Stuffer! Tune in at 7/6c to the AEW Youtube Channel!
(Long post!) I'm one day early but I want to put all my thoughts in one place before I forget: in celebration of trans day of visibility, I want to be indulgent and share some of my favorite people in wrestling who are unabashed allies! I am trans masc, and wrestling is something that helped me find out what it is that I couldn't figure out about me.
I'm not here to discuss the hypocrisy of human nature or that of anyone here. I'm of the belief we are all human once, and we never stop learning, and I celebrate all love and change whenever it comes. If you're wanting to argue otherwise, this post isn't for you. I'm here to spread positivity, and I fucking loathe leftist infighting, so let some good shit make your day better instead. If you come to message me or comment something shitty, I'm probably just gonna ignore it or delete it lmao, so
Chelsea Green! She's one of my favorite personalities in wrestling right now. She's worn pride gear and goes to bat for lgbtq folks often, including for her tag partner Piper Niven, who is openly queer.
CM Punk! I am so not here to make any digs on him because he's a divisive figure to some, so 🤷. He's marched at No Kings and has sold merch where proceeds go to trans charities! Also want to include AJ Lee here.
Finn Balor, the beast. He's iterated multiple times how the Balor Club for everyone means EVERYONE. He's also had several pride shirts, including really cool pride themed gear.
John Cena, who screams enigma but among other things, has talked about his experience with homophobia directed towards his gay brother and how he'd defend him from bullies and bigots.
Dave Batista, he's just so fucking cool. His parents are lesbian and he's openly left leaning and progressive. He's covered up tattoos of old friends who went on to say bigoted shit. Man's dedicated.
The 🐐, Cody Rhodes, of course. Goes to show the Americana vibe isn't what you'd think on first view, he's been openly progressive for many many years. AOC has shouted him out on Twitter for his talks on diversity, and he's also had many pride shirts go towards lgbtq charities. The state of wwe corporate heads is dire but the top guy being an honest to God human being is refreshing and hopeful. Also, undashing Cody is the reason my egg broke 😳
in response to someone asking if trans people can succeed in wrestling >
Some other folk I know for sure (there's probably more)
