Once, Sayyiduna ‘Isa (Alayhi salam) passed by a luminous mountain that was sparkling with light.
He said to Allah Almighty: ‘O Allah (most Merciful)! Bless this mountain with the power to speak.’
The mountain spoke and said: ‘O RoohAllah (Ala Nabiyyina wa alaihis salat wa-as-Salam)! What do you desire?’
He replied: ‘Tell me your state.’
The mountain said, ‘A person lives inside me.’
Sayyiduna ‘Isa (Alayhi salam) said to Allah (most Merciful): ‘Allow me to see him.’
The mountain split open and a very beautiful pious man emerged from it.
This pious man said: ‘I am the follower of Sayyiduna Musa (Alayhi salam). I supplicated to Allah Almighty that He lets me live until the time of His beloved Messenger (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) so that I may receive the honour of seeing him and also be privileged of becoming his follower. Alhamdu-Lillah! I have been busy worshipping Allah inside this mountain for 600 years.’
Sayyiduna ‘Isa (Alayhi salam) asked Almighty Allah: ‘O Allah (most Merciful)! Is there anyone on this earth dearer to you than this person?’
Allah Almighty answered: ‘O ‘Isa! Whoever, from the Ummah of Muhammad (may peace and blessings be upon Him) fasts for a single day in the month of Rajab, he is dearer to me than this person.’

It is the 21st Rajab today, we can still make an intention to keep a fast for one day purely for the sake of the pleasure of the Almighty before the month comes to an end. You can see the station of this blessed man, but indeed you don’t see how Merciful your Lord is to the Ummah of the beloved Prophet Muhammad صَلَّى ٱللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ (May abundant peace and blessings be upon him).
The world once again has changed a lot in the last 2 years, we now have more rules and strict measures to follow, so sometimes we may feel overwhelmed when confined to a place for a long period of time or not being able to do the stuff that would usually be considered normal before these new rules. We don’t know how long we have left, but all we know is we are coming closer to the end of time, faster than ever before. These constant changes in the world should make us reflect in our worldly life, yes; but also the other life we have been promised and that is indeed waiting for us after the veil has been lifted. Maybe we can try make up for the days we didn’t do as much and try cover up our past mistakes with doing just as many good things.
How merciful is our Lord with us and how forgotten are we in this life that breaks and breaks us because of its fakeness only to be added to another one of the dead and forgotten, another number added to those that have walked on this earth since the beginning of time. Each with a choice to make.
The Time is coming closer, you shouldn’t be wandering further, be steadfast in your religion, your Lord is the most Merciful, the Great Forgiver. If you are to love, than learn love from Him.
🌙 Ramadan Kareem! May this holy month bring peace, prosperity, and countless blessings to you and your loved ones.
Muharram is a spiritual pause, a chance to reset our intentions, clear our hearts, and choose faith over fear, patience over impulse.🌙 . . .
