Belief in Al-Qadr and its essential matters

Iman is a precious asset to every believer. The believer can give up everything, but he can never give up his Iman. One of the six fundamental subjects of Iman is Belief in Al-Qadr (predestination). And Muslim’s Iman will not be complete until he believes in the predestination. Verily, Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said: “The first thing Allah created was the pen. He said to it: Write. It asked: What should I write, my Lord? He said: Write the destinies of everything till the Last Hour comes.” [Sunan Abu Dawud, Hadith No. 4700]

So I will present many vital things about Belief in Al-Qadr (predestination) that maybe will helpful for every Muslim. And I will also mention the words of Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him) about Qadr. So let’s know first what is Belief in Qadr means.

Belief in Allah and Islam's view in this regard

Allah Ta'ala is gracious to every one of His servants. Everything he does is for their welfare. He has spread innumerable blessings openly and secretly in the world for their well-being. Verily, no one can count his blessings. Belief in the Messengers of Allah, and our Islam

Allah Ta’ala has endowed man with wisdom and conscience. Of course, He has given each person different responsibilities and duties. People will stay on earth for a specific time. Then they will return to their Lord. There is a good reward for those who fulfil their Allah-given responsibility. And for those who ignore and deny Allah-given responsibility, there is a severe punishment of Hell. In Allah’s book, Allah Ta’ala has also mentioned the main duties and responsibilities for everyone. Allah Ta’ala chose some of the best persons from age to age. He sent down to them His Books. They taught people practically how to practice or implement the instructions of Allah’s Book. The best persons are the Prophets and Messengers. So belief in the Messengers of Allah and His Prophets is a vital deed that Allah Ta’ala has obligated on His all servants.

They obeyed every command of Allah properly. Indeed, they were the best human beings in the world, and in the Hereafter, they will be among the closest servants of Allah. Now I will present to you some vital information about belief in the Messengers of Allah and believing in the Prophets of Allah. At the same time, I will mention the main things of belief in the messengers of Allah, Insha Allah. So let’s know first what it means to believe in Allah’s messengers.

عن أبي قتادة قال سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول "‏ الرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ مِنَ اللَّهِ فَإِذَا رَأَى أَحَدُكُمْ مَا يُحِبُّ فَلاَ يُحَدِّثُ بِهَا إِلاَّ مَنْ يُحِبُّ وَإِنْ رَأَى مَا يَكْرَهُ فَلْيَتْفِلْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ ثَلاَثًا وَلْيَتَعَوَّذْ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ شَرِّ الشَّيْطَانِ وَشَرِّهَا وَلاَ يُحَدِّثْ بِهَا أَحَدًا فَإِنَّهَا لَنْ تَضُرَّهُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ [صحيح مسلم ، رقم الحديث: ٥٧٩٦]

The believer rejoices when he does good deeds, and when he does evil deeds, he suffers in his heart.

وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا الْإِيمَانُ قَالَ إِذَا سَرَّتْكَ حَسَنَتُكَ وَسَاءَتْكَ سَيِّئَتُكَ فَأَنْتَ مُؤْمِنٌ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَمَا الْإِثْمُ قَالَ إِذَا حَاكَ فِي نَفْسِكَ شَيْءٌ فَدَعْهُ [مشكاة المصابيح ، رقم الحديث : ٤٥]
