Is it just me or is it about time that these two ladies get together and drop a caribbean record!? Im not going to beg for it but dang...  

Fact is, you both have been in the game long enough, have a dope song together, and are amazing performers. Y'all need to get in the studio (maybe invite Beenie Man, Mavado, Gyptian, Aziatic, Lova Boy, Supa G and whoever else, so we can “Show dem how we shut it down”.

Island Rose Makes Everyday, Mother’s Day It is 3 o’clock in the afternoon and I want to  get my mom some flowers. It is not Mother’s Day but for me it doesn't have to be.  Everyday can be Mother’s day, besides I know my mom would appreciate the flowers more than anything I could give her.  What is not to like about receiving flowers? They are beautiful and they  can brighten anyone’s day and that is exactly what I  wish for my mom.

My options are clear, I could either go to a mall and buy the flowers at a flower shop but to even consider doing that  on a Friday afternoon with the expected traffic in Metro Manila is something only the brave would do, or  I could buy the flowers online.  I consider myself a smart shopper and online shopping  is no different. The same rules apply, one has to do due diligence.  It can become  a very tedious process of  comparing websites, reading reviews and checking out the best deals and doing an extensive price comparison which to me mimics the whole shopping experience of being in a mall.  For some reason, I never really thought of buying flowers online. Maybe it is the old fashioned guy in me, who wants to personally smell the flowers, who wants to be 100% sure of the quality,  being able to write a personal message  and to personally deliver them.  After a few minutes of googling "where to buy flowers online in the Philippines", I landed on the  Island Rose, website,  a company of more than 25 years which is  something seldom heard over on the Internet. A quick look on their company profile reveals that they grow and sell their own produce from their own flower farm in Tagaytay city, that makes their company a reliable supplier of fresh flowers in the Philippines.   I knew exactly what I wanted for my mom, a classic bouquet of three red roses  and the simplicity of the  Island Rose website is a welcoming experience for any first time buyer.   Here is a walk through of my very first experience buying at Island Rose: 

 I  clicked  on the bouquet  category  which revealed several sub-categories and there I saw the sub-category,  “deals”and clicked it,  

 I noticed  I can change the  currency to Philippine peso which I did.  

There were several "best offer deals" to choose from, I clicked on the "Red Passion"  3 stem red roses deal, priced at Php 399 which  to me is a real bargain. 

When I read this part, it made me happy that I could personalize with my own special message for my mom.   "A love note has traditionally been a symbol of eternal love and devotion. Write your message in our special Island Rose greeting card and we'll send it with long stem red roses. Express your deepest feelings - say it best with roses! " 

I filled up the form and proceeded to checkout. 

I was asked to create an account which I did and was  asked  to log on with my new account details and the transaction was finished after payment using my Paypal account, if you don't have a Paypal account  a straight credit card payment is an option and that was it, it was that easy.

After which I received a confirmation email of my order.  

The whole shopping experience was pleasurable to say the least, considering that after only  a few minutes I was in and out of the Island Rose website.   Adding my own personal message with my ordered flowers sealed the deal for me.  I may not been able to smell the flowers myself, personally checked their quality but  I know come tomorrow as my mom receives the flowers, read my personal message and be in awe by the smell of the red roses, that is all that matters, I would feel  that my  deed has been done.  To show her   my love is  something that  never gets old just like giving and receiving flowers and while Mother's day is a tradition long kept in the family, a little help from Island Rose makes everyday, Mother's day.  You can visit their website at :  http://ph.islandrose.net
