For the Work-In-Progress Guessing Game: forget and/or hate?
Everything from the monster!fic yet to be titled, and which I hope to be posting befor ethe end of October, if I want it to be completed before S2 premier! Also, all I’m posting are the non-spoilery kind of sentences. I had to skip a bunch because they gave too much away!
FORGET
She’s felt the distress oozing from every one of his pores, the guilt building up behind the gold in his eyes, and she’s wanted so bad to kiss his worries away, to be the one to make him forget about whatever hardships he might have gone through.
He wants to crawl under a rock and forget the last ten years happened.
He wishes he could kiss that look away, but there’s only so much Alex can do to forget that Michael ran off to Maria, now that his hand has been healed, presumably by Max.
It's barely noon, and although all he wants is to get drunk to forget Michael's stunts and his own heartbreak, he needs to be sober for Noah's funeral.
The ceremony begins, and she feels the pull of dissociation where she gets to leave her body and forget anything that's happening.
Rosa doesn’t want to forgive, she doesn’t want to forget.
HATE
that disgrace of a son, so resemblant of his mother that he can't help but hate on
He knows how much she hates scorching hot coffee, but she hates even more that it goes cold.
"Not sure about genetics," and how he hates to talk in riddles and half truths around his best friend, but it's necessary since it isn’t his secret to tell
Darcy was tempted to argue with him, but continued rubbing the foaming soap and hydrogen peroxide mixture into the areas that were hard to reach despite his crazy flexibility.
“Really,” Clint continued, furiously scrubbing bubbles and soap up and down his arms. “It’s the only excuse for my shit luck and stumbling into a freaking skunk in Brooklyn.”
She snorted, shifted her face mask back up to it’s proper position, and began scrubbing between his shoulder blades. While Tony probably had some antidote that would have gotten rid of eau de skunk in no time, Clint had decided his ego couldn’t handle the price that day. So there they were, crammed into his shower, she fully clothed and covered in gloves, mask, and apron, while they scrubbed every inch of him to get rid of the terrible smell.
“Fine,” he muttered. “A skunk in Brooklyn isn’t that big a stretch, but you gotta weigh it with everything else.”
“Uh huh,” she said patting his head, the movement emphasized by her rubber gloves and the squish of bubbles in his hair.
“There was the galactic slime last week. Then whatever that bird dropped me into on our trip to Nilfheim.”
She kept rubbing the sponge across his skin, moving to ribs and sides.
“Don’t forget the body-encompassing goo Tony forgot to mention before I fell into it in his lab last year. And whatever the hell that tribble exploded into last month.”
Darcy kept rubbing bubbles into his skin, not able to resist repeatedly going over the one spot that made him twitch, still ticklish despite all his training. He shot her a glare over his shoulder, aware of what she was doing. When she shrugged and waggled her brows to compensate for the fact he couldn’t see her smile, he focused back on furiously scrubbing his chest and stomach, continuing with his list.
“I’d feel like an extra in Ghostbusters but it’s not just weird substances.”
He’d became more involved in his diatribe, hands gesturing and bubbles flying onto the walls, so Darcy crouched to start on his right leg.
“Somehow Steve locked me into that vault last year. I’m the one the robotic King Kong decided needed to be the damsel that one time.”
She couldn’t help a giggle and ignored Clint’s huff, instead silently directing him to balance on one leg so she could get his whole foot clean.
“While I know Tony wanted me to get trapped in that tree during the jungle mission, I still don’t don’t how it happened. And let’s not forget the cherry on the freaking cake, somehow I got stuck in that corn maze that one time.”
Darcy paused, looking up at her boyfriend hoping her eyes seemed more sympathetic than amused. “Clint, everyone gets lost in corn mazes.”
“Not carnies from Iowa!” He flung his hands out, posturing like a bubbled god, covered entirely covered in foam except for his left leg. And she lost it. She let herself fall backwards out of the shower to curl into a ball as she giggled on the bathroom floor.
“No sympathy,” Clint mumbled to himself and finally began scrubbing his other leg. “See if I ever confide in you again about how the supernatural is out to get me.”
Once you get this, you have to say five things you like about yourself, publicly. Then you have to send this to ten of your favourite followers (non-negotiable, positivity is cool~) 🌈🌈"
1. I’m left-handed
2. I sing soprano
3. I’m a calligrapher
4. I am also a henna artist
5. I write pretty good fic and adore my readers, especially the ones who leave comments on my stuff.
To be happy, no matter what. And most important, no matter who wants to keep me down. I guess that sums it pretty much
30. What my last text message says
Talking with @skrtl about live triangles in Stranger Things (translation: which one? Because there are many)
69. Have you ever witnessed a crime?
Not such thing as a crime, but an agression. About two and a half years ago, I witnessed the ex hubby (the hubby back then) beat someone and get the hell beaten out of him. I panicked, went through an anxiety attack and almost got hit while trying to break them apart.
The Sound Of Music, hands down. I can watch it a million times and always find out something new and amazing. I love Julie Andrews.
Up on the list, but not on top, I love Pride and Prejudice, Beauty and the Beast and Schindler’s List, in no particular order. Anything that has some historical events (except Disney) is bound to be on my list.
Cronus- Favourite food?
Anything with rice, except Spanish paella. I could survive on rice. Also, croquettes. Whenever my friends and I go out, we always end up on a tapas trip and we each choose something. I always choose croquettes.
Hermes- Do you like traveling? Where is one place you want to travel to?
I would love to go to the States, New Zealand, Australia and Argentina. I love traveling, I’d do it the whole time if I could. Honestly, I don’t think there’s a place I wouldn’t want to go.
“I’m going to need you to put on some underwear before you say anything else.“ honestly, I read this and my mind immediately went to logan's ass shot in dofp, so...Wolverine, but idk who said it to him..
You wanted 1500 words right? Because that’s what you get.
You also want some visual help, right? Because here we go!
With a stretch and a scratch, Darcy threw the covers off and fumbled out of bed. She still hadn’t gotten nearly enough sleep, but figured six hours would be good enough when Jane had already texted her five times. However, before she bothered to reply, there were things that needed to be taken care of first. Namely: coffee.
But two steps out of her room she caught sight of what was on the sofa and froze. It was more of a who than a what. And that brief glimpse hadn’t kept her from taking in all of the muscle that overlapped muscle over the thighs, ass, and back of the man currently lying face-down in the cushions. The thighs, ass, and back belonging to one hero she’d been very invested in seeing up close and very personal, and still was invested in examining, even if he was snoring slightly and her brain wasn’t computing what to do next.
“Uh...” While it wasn’t the most eloquent, it didn’t seem to matter as there was no response from the couch. “Logan?”
This time there was a grunt.
Not sure what she was scared of, but hesitant nonetheless, she picked up one of the throw pillows that was inexplicably ten feet away from where it should be and chucked it, hitting his fantastically sculpted ass when she had aimed for his head. “Logan!”
His head popped up with another grunt. “Huh? Where am I?”
The early morning gravelly voice was just not fair considering the current situation and her inability to process anything beyond “GORGEOUS MAN YOU REFUSE TO ADMIT YOU HAVE FEELINGS FOR BUT WANT TO RAVISH IS NAKED IN FRONT OF YOU”.
“Darcy?” His head swiveled around, and while his bleary smile once he found her was adorable, his immediate roll and flop onto the floor brought a whole bunch of other things into view that had Darcy clapping her hand over her eyes.
“I’m going to need you to put on some underwear before you say anything else.”
While they had definitely been working their way towards seeing one another naked, this wasn’t exactly the situation she’d been hoping for. And while the fact she was wearing any clothes at all meant she certainly had the advantage at the moment, the muscles added with nudity proved a dangerous combination. Especially since it was still far too early for her synapses to handle the flood of hormones that were trying to hijack what little brain function she had left. She heard movement, but when she peeked, Logan was only sitting where he’d landed, still without a stitch of clothing on his glorious frame.
“What happened?”
Her eyes were once again firmly shut, fingers held tight over them as a second protection against any temptation to look. It was odd, but definitely not the weirdest or awkwardest interaction she’d had since moving into the Tower. “I’m assuming it’s something to do with the Asgardian mead that came out last night as I was leaving. But, you definitely need underwear before we have this conversation.”
“Why’s that, sweetheart? You know I fully support if you wanna ogle.”
Darcy couldn’t help a smile remembering how he’d given her carte blanche viewing rights that one day he’d been sparring with Steve. It had definitely been a turning point in how he featured in her dreams and the tone of their flirting, but that wasn’t the point at that moment. Or maybe it kind of was? Seemed like in order to avoid assaulting him those feelings decided it was time to come out front and center and demand attention. Attention she should probably give since she was the official Avengers/X-Men liaison and things could get might awkward otherwise. Fabulous. “You need clothes on because I just decided that not only are we going to discuss how you got to be naked in my apartment at way too early o’clock on a Sunday, but also why you’re naked in my apartment at way too early o’clock on a Sunday.”
He didn’t say anything at first and she could hear the telltale sound of him scratching one of his sideburns. “I dunno ‘bout that. I‘m rather comfortable.”
She sighed. “Please. We should talk and I’m really not gonna be able to concentrate if I just want to jump your bones.”
Logan chuckled. “I guess when you ask me so sweetly.” There was a rustle of fabric and pillows as he was searching for his clothes, but it wasn’t long before she heard a zipper and a belt and he grunted in satisfaction. “Right, I’m decent.”
She snorted and lowered her hand, opening her eyes slowly. “You were never decent.” He still didn’t have a shirt, but was now at least wearing jeans that had a dark stain down the front. “But I guess the important bits are covered.”
His lips ticked up in a smirk as he sank back down to lounge on the couch, languidly taking in her tousled hair, sleep tank, and comfortable but worse-for-wear boxers she’d stolen from a college boyfriend. “You mean the fun bits.”
With a snort, she picked her way around his boots, socks, and shirt that were spread across her floor. She decided against coffee, figuring that since her thoughts were finally coming in a rational order that the shot of adrenaline her system had just endured would suffice. So she sat cross-legged on the couch, close enough her knee rested against his thigh, but far enough she could clutch a pillow to her chest to get through this conversation. Focused communication before a relationship had never been her strong suit, but there was always time to try something new. And she’d never been one to run from a challenge. Even when that challenge was all of shirtless, sleep-bedraggled Logan smiling at her.
“So,” she paused clearing her throat, “you wanna tell me what happened after I left you guys last night? And don’t forget to explain why you’ve got bloodstains down your jeans before I worry too much about my life choices that I recognize that it’s bloodstains.”
He reached up to rub the back of his neck before answering. “Uh, I’m a little hazy on the details but I seem to recall an unplanned spar with Steve and Thor. Since all of us heal pretty quick, I’m assuming whatever this is from wasn’t too big a deal,” he said gesturing to the dried blood.
Darcy nodded. If it had been worse, someone would have woken her. But that didn’t explain how he ended up on her couch in such a compromising fashion. “And?” she prompted, hoping he’d make this easier.
Logan shrugged. “I probably wound up here because I wanted to see you.”
He’d never shied away from paying compliments, some more outlandish than others, but in the quiet of the morning with just the two of them, this one felt more direct and important than the others. “How do you figure that?”
“Because I always want to see you.”
She tucked her chin towards the pillow she held to hide her dopey smile. “Good answer. But it still doesn’t fully explain the nakedness. Were you showing up with lecherous intent?”
He chuckled, resting a hand casually on her knee. “I probably figured showing up to surprise a girl while covered in blood doesn’t exactly spell romance.”
“And butt naked does?”
His fingers began to trace soft circles on her skin.“In my experience, yeah.”
“But you wanted to spell romance as you say?”
The pressure from his stroking increased as he leaned closer. “Isn’t that what we’ve been working towards?”
She hummed, nearly closing her eyes to focus on the sensation of his fingertips before her brain caught up. Jane had probably texted her at least another two times during their conversation and would no doubt be at the door in another ten minutes if she didn’t answer. “Right,” she said firmly, shoving the pillow into his lap as she clambered off the couch made her way back to her room.
“What? Where you going?”
His surprised tone made her catch herself on the doorjamb, swinging her upper body back into the living room to smile at the worried expression on his face. “I’m gonna go tell Janey I’m taking the day off before jumping in the shower. You’re going to go steal some clothes from Steve.”
“Why?” His eyebrows drew together, and she let him sit for his worry that he’d done something wrong for a couple seconds before she replied. Teasing him was always half the fun.
“Because you’re taking me out for breakfast.” She bit her lip, party just to enjoy watching his eyes track the movement. “And then I might just help you out of those clothes.”
Logan’s grin was quick. “Told you naked was better than bloody.”
