Thank you so much for answer! I am very excited for this, but I have to ask another question. It's not gonna replace An Art of Balance right? I mean, will you continue to write AoB?
No no no, don’t worry, I’d never!
AoB was fully outlined and done before I even started the first chapter, I just need to write it out. Haha, “just”.
I originally wanted to stop there and move on to a Charlie multichapter fic I wanted to do but I had too many ideas for their adult life floating around in my head 🤷♀️
“Damn dog!”
Reaching for the pup, gripping tightly in a firm hold, he felt it. The violent stirs of the pesky human. A flare of surprise at the startling strength his human had. Admirable even. He hid strength from him, letting him lower his guard. The deception wasn’t completely unpleasant. It wouldn’t be fun if his human was completely submissive to his whims.
A grin spread on his lips. He gave a savoring lick on his blood tipped claw. He shuddered. He got what he wanted, even if his prey had escaped. A taste. The thrill of the chase was much more fun than he anticipated. And his prey wouldn’t last long, not with the slash he delivered. If not for the human pushing past the barriers he erected, he would have pursued.
Enough was enough for tonight. And the scene here was enough to possibly make his human believe the worst, a thought that made him snicker.
You want your body back? Have it back. Enjoy the rest of your blood soaked eve.
His expression slackened, eerily blank as he collapsed, face first, in the ground. The pup squirmed out of his hold. A whine of unease seeped through its maw as it crept close, sniffing the man sprawled out on the ground. Curling up beside his head, the small pup continue to whine, waiting for him to wake up.
