☾ ---  Having Suga over, had it’s perks-- though it was easy to forget how different they really were. Issei had never considered taking the feline with him but suppose it was better than leaving without a word like he had done in the past. He could tell they weren’t accustom to the get-up-&-go lifestyle by the way they grumbled. The tiny S Q I U N T I N G did him in !

Issei climbed the mountain of blankets, chilled hands creeping under as he did. His smile was possibly the most genuine he’d ever had. He huffed into the other neck, his full body weight just rest on their back. Said hands wrapped around them, feeling the H E A T. ❛ Not a joke. Were going to lay low for a while. ❜ he said simply, kissing the matted morning hair of the other.

     the lost stare is what ultimately compels him to come forward, presenting himself before her with a little wave of his hand in an attempt to catch her attention. the line of his lips slightly curved by the ends—a friendly facade being used to approach her.

    “—hey... you seem a bit lost. are you alright?”

  “ Y-Yeah... ” This was the second time in a fortnight a large bag of kibble took a share out of Hideki’s bank account and it wasn’t because he had an animal to feed, no...

   The routine had changed, before going out for the day, keep a zipblock bag of kibble in his backpack. After work, detour from the usual route and turn left from the old lady’s sweet potato stand into the open fields framed by large trees. Four little bowls would sit on the grass shielded by an overhang of a cave. From there Hideki would see some dogs of the usual pack already there, knowing that he stopped by around this time every day. 

   “ Eat up guys... ” He muttered as he filled the bowls.

the winter tournament had taken a lot out of him , from going on the road to play against other schools and not being allowed to sleep as often as he would like , to not having as much coconut water , one could say that calix seemed a bit paler than usual. and that says something since he was already pale -- but no matter. what mattered now was that he was home. ( he had left beauty and spot with an animal watcher who would stop by three times a day to feed and walk and play with the cat and dog until calix returned. she didn’t question him on why he was gone so long or how he got the funds to pay her extremely well for her time and services ; thinking it better not to look a gift horse in the mouth. ) 

the moment the door opens, spot is already on him, half-taking calix down with his massive size. fingers dig into fur to rub at spot’s belly before he pulls his phone out. he should let beni know that he’s back right ? yah.

          Voice was cool against the summer heat, fringe cascading forward as he looked to her. For a brief moment there was silence; debating, but soon reaching forth. Fingers soft in nature would gently push back her thick tresses, studying feminine features. Soon voicing his agreement. 

                    “---As well as speechless.” but the adjective pertained more to Ginger.

☾ ---  Music shook the walls around him with an upbeat theme that didn’t seem to fit his taste. Sweating bodies surrounded him, GRINDING without much of a thought. He didn’t seem to fit into the ocean of glow-sticks with his all black attire. A smile came with the whispers as he slipped a small plastic bag into a strangers hand-- who happily exchanged cash for them. Issei couldn’t say he’d ever see them again, thought dark sclera zeroed in on a pair of eyes looking at him.  Among all the cruel things floating in his mind to say to the on-looker, none came from his mouth. Not that any could be heard over the rave going on around them. Instead his TONGUE slides over perfectly gleaming teeth-- a challenge. The killer had set a trap, waiting patiently for a result or rather a reaction. A seemingly harmless invitation that would not likely happen again.
