This tutorial serves both to an image/screencap as to gifs
Start by choosing a scene or image that highlights quite the color you want to isolate, I will isolate the blue in Rio 2 film
If you isolate an image/screencap then skip this part and go to "how to isolate a particular color"
Make your gif normally, use the tutorial at the beginning of the post if you don’t know how to make a gif, add an action to gifs, I used this [x] (atn 1)
How to isolate a particular color :
Make a basic psd to your image/screencap or gif
And place in selective color and the color of your image, if mine is blue then I go on Cyan/Blues, featured these colors in selective color.
Settings :
Cyans > Cyan +100% / Magenta and Yellow -100% / Blue +100
[Don’t use the settings that I sent if you’re not isolate blue]
That done your psd are ready with their outstanding color, now let's isolate it.
Go Hue/Saturation and where it says Master click and go in all colors and set the Saturation to -100, LESS IN COLOR YOU WANT, if mine is blue so I did not leave the blue and cyan in the negative I don't even wiggled them.
Thus:
Red > Saturation -100 / Yellow > Saturation -100
Greens > Saturation -100 / Magenta > Saturation -100
Blue and Cyan > Saturation +5 or +10, whatever.
If you want to isolate another color just do the same process, but changing a few settings.
Example :
Isolate Yellow, all saturation -100 but yellow +5 or +10 and so on.
