oo i'm going to do a scene for each (you know most of these already, but oh well, you're getting some more detail haha) (also soc book spoilers below for isolde)
so shreya helped alina flee the little palace but when alina got sighted, shreya basically bought alina more time to get away, but it led to her getting caught
she's brought back to the darkling and he is pissed
she was one of his, like, star pupils so he's thrown for a loop that she would betray him
but the rose colored glasses are officially off and she no longer has any illusions about the type of person he is
there's just like a really intense discussion between them where her life basically gets threatened and he's like i'm so disappointed in you, you were going to help change the world and she is just DONE
like she's so sick of him spouting that line and she ends up pretty much telling him that alina is a lot smarter and stronger than he thinks and shreya vows to help her burn his kingdom to the ground
the fjerdan attack on the tracking camp
she's dead asleep when it happens, most of the others are outside getting ambushed
one of the fjerdans ends up dragging her out of her tent and she's kicking and screaming and is absolutely terrified
like this is not what she signed up for at ALL
like she's pretty much waiting for the end
the others get the drop on the person attacking her and help her up but she's fucking TERRFIED
so cue the even more intense attack, mal's down, the rest of the team is getting killed and she's like struggling once again
she ends up making the last killing shot on one of the fjerdans and it rocks her to her core because she's never had to shoot someone before
like if mal wasn't on the verge of fucking croaking right then and there, she might have just curled up into a ball right there
(we know v little about tidemakers so i'm just gonna create my own canon here but also the darkling's short story showed a tidemaker doing things with ice so this is valid idc)
when they're in fjerda heading towards the ice court and they get attacked by those grisha hopped up on parem??
anyways, ice is just water in another form, so girly just like,,,goes off
matthias is literally standing there like 👀 because one, that's his homeland ice and two, did she just melt down this patch off ice, bring it up in like a tidal wave motion and end up refreezing it to stab these two grisha with little icicles?
he's already a little wary of her but she just sorta unleashes some badass tidemaking
nina's just happy to see her doing grisha things
kaz is unimpressed as always, but inside you know he's like ...remind me not to make her too mad
like just picture something out of katara's little showdown with pakku in that one episode of atla
