Aaron Kingsleigh ᯽ How I Wonder (Where You’re At)

Aaron Kingsleigh was used to never truly getting what he wanted. He and his sisters were happy running a club for Wonderlandian students at Auradon Prep, having their own tight-knit friend group there, but all three of them knew that neither they nor their mother would likely ever be able to see Wonderland again. He was popular due to his status as a tourney player, and he genuinely liked the sport and being on the team, but he could never truly fit in with his teammates because of his Wonderlandian connections. He was a good student, but he could never manage to be top of his class. He was close with the prince of Agrabah, but he knew he could never be with him the way he really wanted to because of their statuses. This is Aaron’s life, and he’s learned to be content with it… or at least as content as he can be. But when Prince Ben decides to bring six kids from the Isle of the Lost to Auradon, including the children of the former queen who almost killed his mother, everything changes, and he starts to wonder if maybe he can go after what he wants after all.

this is a remake of a gifspam about a year old, it's under the cut along with some notes about Mirage's evolution!!

Mirage Mirage Mirage... when I first created her, I simply wanted a self-insert oc to ship with Five bc I am In Love with the grumpy old man. As I delved deeper into her relationship with Five though, I realized that I had to give Mirage her own problems and challenges, she couldn't just be Five's lover because in my interpretation of his character, Five isn't the kind of person to just fall in love with a pretty sassy girl, he has to be able to connect with the person, and he has to have a love interest that's competent in their own way, being able to stand up on their own two feet without Five coddling their every move. The first-ever ideas for Mirage were basically just "Kaz Brekker but make her do government-ish stuff, assassin, targeted by the Handler and nearly gets killed by her, aversion to touch" Absolutely no notes on her relationship with the other two kids that were adopted by AJ -- Emmy and Telepath -- and an entire google doc dedicated to her and Five oneshots

yeah, I was whipped af lol

but after some time, in which I poked around in other fandoms and got "better" at creating backstories and motivation, I circled back to Mirage. I started thinking about what could've turned someone who was groomed to be AJ's successor, someone who was only taught the basics of fighting before the Handler came, into an assassin who bided her time until she could finally regain control of the Commission? I realized something that was very much inspired by a certain Marvel show that someone might have heard me complaining that I neglected the plot bunny I made for it (I swear I'll do it next year) was literally perfect for Mirage, it's a play on her name and power, and it fills in all the plot holes I ignored in the first few drafts of her story. So yeah, that's basically the story of Mirage's evolution, along with her faceclaim change due to me admitting that pairing someone in their late twenties with a teenager is just... weird and uncomfortable to me lol; Mirage is one of the first ocs I ever introduced on here, and she's also one of my most constant brainworms, like literally I can talk about her any time and place because there's so much to share about her asldaksda

Denethor II of Gondor was a man of many things. He was noble, powerful, and full of pride. After his father’s death in T.A. 2984, Denethor became a mighty ruler. The kind of lord the Gondorians worshiped as “kingly”. He was magnificent, valiant, and a true leader the people were proud to follow. 

Yes, Denethor was a man of many things, but a devoted father was not among them.

Rínien uncovered that pitiful truth upon the moment she came into this world. The Ruling Steward’s wife, Finduilas, suffered through a long, excruciating, and unbearable labor until her body could no longer bear the hardship. A life for a life. As the Gondorians would say whilst they wept for the loss of their lady and rejoiced for the birth of the Daughter of Gondor. Though, in the midst of their grief and celebration, the heart of Denethor grew cold and bitter towards his only daughter and second son, Faramir, for he believed they were the ones who drained the beauty and life of his dear lady.

The role of a father rested upon the shoulders of the eldest son, Boromir. At the bright age of ten, he protected his younger siblings throughout their youth and taught them everything he had known. Thereafter, Boromir, Faramir, and Rínien became inseparable. The children of Gondor trained together, fought together, and one day hoped to die together.

When a strange dream plagued the three, they sought counsel from their lord father. A task was thrusted upon them to seek the land of Imladris. A dangerous task the eldest brother took upon himself to protect his younger siblings for what may lie ahead. Faramir respected his brother’s wish and remained in Gondor. Meanwhile, Rínien could not stand by and let her elder brother face it alone. That very night, she fled her home to follow Boromir on the journey to Rivendell.

Their expedition lasted 110 days until they reached their destination, where they were immediately thrown into a mission they did anticipate. The chance to destroy the One Ring of the Dark Lord Sauron. To accomplish this goal, they joined a fellowship of a familiar Wizard, a daring Elf, a boastful Dwarf, a skilled Ranger of the North, four peculiar Hobbits, and the rightful heir of Gondor.

MEET FERN ALVAREZ

After fleeing from an abusive relationship of five years, Fern Alvarez enters the small town of Thorn Creek, Massachusetts, with nothing more than two suitcases, an old blue car they were gifted by their parents, and just enough money for the first month’s rent for a small cottage just outside of the town proper. Although still scarred and deeply anxious from everything they endured while dating their ex-girlfriend, Fern wants nothing more than to make a fresh start in Thorn Creek, to do the job they’ve secured at the local bakery and remain unobtrusive and unconnected enough that the woman they’ve fled will never find them again.

But, as their kind yet mysterious landlady warns, Fern is not the only person with a cabin in Thorn Creek’s woods - not far away from Fern’s Bluebell Cottage sits the larger, darker Blackthorn Cottage, where live a kind if odd couple and their socially anxious younger roommate. As time goes by, Fern does find themself getting closer to Will and Hannibal Graham-Lecter and their pseudo-adopted-daughter Carrie White… but it also doesn’t take long for them to discover that these three are not the only ones in the home. Blackthorn Cottage is home to a variety of killers, sharing this home while hiding from the law and occasionally sneaking out to satisfy their urges by killing lowlives in neighboring towns.

A cannibalistic former psychologist and his dog-loving husband. A religiously traumatized young woman with strong and potentially deadly telekinesis. Two killing partners, bonded by their love of classic horror movies. Two other cannibals, these ones related, masked, and chainsaw-wielding. A silent boogeyman who never seems to be seen without a knife in his hand. A perpetually nervous former motel manager with the voice of his deceased mother in his head. An undead killer in a hockey mask who cannot speak and loves nature. A spirit with a hook for a hand who has his own swarm of bees and can disappear through mirrors. All of them trusting Fern to keep the secret of what really goes on in the house they all share, and in possibly their most foolish decision, Fern does, visiting the cottage full of killers often and never telling anyone on the outside this heavy truth. (Although they strongly suspect their landlady Ms. Caraway is fully aware, because it doesn’t seem to Fern that anything could quite escape that sweet woman’s eye.)

The more time Fern spends at Blackthorn Cottage, the closer they find themself growing to the many killers within - all of which actually seem to be much kinder than their actions would lead one to believe. But after all they’ve been through, they aren’t quite sure whether they are prepared to enter into new a relationship with even one person… much less eleven of them.

However, no matter how much they try to keep themself from it, Fern finds themself falling deeper and deeper into their feelings for every one of the killers in Blackthorn Cottage. And despite everything, despite how much Fern has convinced themself they are too damaged to be properly loved again, all of these people with blood-soaked hearts and hands seem to feel the same way about this traumatized little baker who has found safety in the last possible place they would have ver expected to find it.
