Okay so I got married? And the rest of the world sort of melted away? And NOW I went back over my tumblr history to see if I shared this (because populuxe reminded me!) and I'm pretty sure I didn't. It's a crime, and I shall repent BUT, meanwhile, if you want some Cherik-feelings with a side of class analysis and emotional detective work, you should check out this fantastic remix by @jackyjango

When I wrote The Line Between I wanted to focus on Charles outsourcing his emotional regulation to Erik, and see where Erik would eventually draw the line. I think JackyJango showed this masterfully in Daiquiri. Charles has Erik as his touchstone for the things he's experienced, and trusts him to mirror his experiences, when he doesn't actually allow himself to feel anything about them.

Also, I am such a sucker for Erik *losing it* over Charles. Give me metal rattling and handles fusing and I am a happy clam.

I love all your x-men fics so much! They're all so different in plot and characterization but all heartbreaking. I know from your author's notes that you have a lot of life stuff going on, but I was just wondering if you have any other fics in the works?

Oh, thank you, that's so sweet!! <3 I’ve got a couple of new things that need editing and I’m poking at an older draft I never posted, but yes, I am very much juggling LiFe and WoRk and that means I write A LOT and edit NOTHING, haha. But I appreciate you and words are happening and I'll see you soon <3

Yesterday I randomly found myself near Riverside Church, so I forced my (baffled) friend to take a little detour to see the site of the climax scene of "Repeat Offenses," my fic where Charles keeps having to bail Erik out of jail. 😂 If you have read the story but don't remember how it ends, I will remind you that the fence plays a pivotal role lol.
