First day of Summer school and we're going on a field trip... Across the WORLD.

My school is def. better than yours!!

Israel Trip 2011

In just a few hours i'll be on a bus to Atlanta to catch a flight to New York City to catch a flight to Tel Aviv, Israel!!! So excited!

I'll be able to quote Psalm 122:2, "Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem." I'll be able to pray at the Western Wall of the Old Temple:

I'll be able to stand where Jesus prayed in those final fleeting hours of His life in the Garden of Gethsemane:

I'll be able to see where Jesus calmed the storm, walked on water, and commissioned the apostles to drop their nets and become fishers of men at the sea of Galilee:

I'll be baptized in the Jordan River where the children of Israel crossed into the promise land, where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, and where God spoke the words "This is my son, whom I love; in Him I am well pleased." (Matthew 3:17, Mark 1:11, Luke 3:22)

I'm so excited to finally be walking where Jesus bore the weight of my sin and the sin of the world in the form of a cross down that long pathway to his crucifixion on the Via Dolorosa:

And finally, to see where he was buried for 3 days, but rose in GLORY beating death, hell, and the grave:

This trip is going to life changing and my only regret is not being able to take my girl with me... But i'll be home soon. Praying for the Lord to make this a LIFE CHANGING experience.
