a recurring theme ive noticed is that when it comes to conflicts israel is a part of, israel only wins if it totally destroys any belligerent parties. meanwhile, in order for said belligerents to be "victorious," all they have to do is survive. i genuinely don't understand how ppl can hold such radically different standards for two groups and continue to take themselves seriously
dont forget that they also proceed to tell u "ummm y r u measuring success by how much u managed to destroy??" 1 breath after stating that rates of destruction = implied success :( like idk what kind of planet u have to live on to think that a country that is forced to parade the image of its leader in the form of cardboard because hes either too disabled or too afraid to come out of the bunker, is the country that somehow WON the exchange jasdhbfasdjkhb

"Israel is a terrorist state" when Israel is one of the most terrorism-affected countries in the world.
"Israel is committing genocide" when Jews were the victims of the deadliest genocide ever.
"Israel is an apartheid state" when Israeli Arabs are legally given equal civil and political rights and can vote, stand for political office and have equal access to state courts and services.
"Israel is an illegal occupier" when the Rashidun, Umayyad, Abbasid, Fatimid, Ayyubid caliphates/sultanates occupied Israel for over 500 years.
People love to accuse Jews of things Jews are victims of.

For the past three years, people around the world have scolded the IDF for killing journalists, then dismissed the IDF’s assertion they were members of militant groups. When it turns out the IDF was right, they either quietly delete them from their lists, or stick to their guns even though the “civilian journalist” has been claimed by Hamas or PIJ

Dan Hotel Tel Aviv (image source)
The H-shaped building was designed by Heinz Fenchel (1906-1988), an Israeli Jewish architect and interior designer. It was built in 1950-1964.
The colorful side of the hotel (the western facade, which faces the beach, seen in the photo above) was created by Yaacov Agam in 1986. The rainbow mosaic was renewed as part of the year 2000 renovations of the hotel.
Yaacov Agam was an Israeli Jewish artist and sculptor known for abstract, "Kinetic art" (art in motion), and "optical art". Agam was born in Rishon LeZion in 1928, and passed away on June 21, 2026.
As is often the case with Agam's art, a single perspective is not enough... the artwork "changes" based on the position of the sun, and that of the viewer... as can be seen in this photo (by Chris Hoare): when people move around the colourful facade on the street, beach or promenade of Tel Aviv, they can discover it in new ways.
Just found out that my religious studies professor did an hour long livestream in 2024 wherein she attempted to legitimize wide-scale and systemic physical, psychological, and sexual torture against civilian populations, including children, perpetrated by a globally recognized paramilitary organization whose stated goal is genocide. And this is the person to whom I'm supposed to be entrusting my education???
