IZZY Chen 陳以岫, with the official video for the title track of her new album, Hopscotch. Great song, really cool clip! =D The song has been around for awhile, she performed it as Issue Chen & Mornings; if you click the tag, you'll see our previous posts with some live versions. The album release show is at Riverside Cafe next Friday.

Does anybody know what happened to Issue Chen (陳以岫)? Her facebook is gone, and other links show no activity since 2012. Waa closed her radio show tonight with the song Hopscotch, which made me realize I hadn't seen or heard a peep in so long. (Even her YT channel looks closed, although if you have a direct link to a clip, you can still watch, e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOcgoxV7Noc) Very perplexing. Any clues? ------------------- Thanks so much to stayinblue, who sussed out the situation: She is now going by the name Izzy, with a new facebook page, and a new album, Hopscotch, released a few weeks ago! Album release show at Riverside on June 13th. So that is great news, and a bit of a relief, actually! =D

Issue Chen (陳以岫) and her band Mornings, from a July 2012 gig at Witch House. I tried to find a more recent clip, but anyway, this version of Hopscotch is really good! Issue Chen has been fairly active, releasing demos and playing the occasional gig. You can hear more of her music at StreetVoice, and see our previous video post HERE.
