#JackedKirby - The Warriors Three! 3️⃣3️⃣3️⃣ The Warriors Three are some of the coolest supporting characters to be featured in the Thor series, and that is saying a lot considering how many cool ass characters exists in these hallowed pages!!! 3️⃣3️⃣3️⃣ Hogun, Fandral And Volstagg (left to right in Pic 1/2) are the Warriors Three, Asgard’s most elite fighting force... and also best friends of Thor! These battled tested soldiers have faced many battles alongside the Thunder God through the years, but none more precocious than the coming of the Mangog and Ragnarok! 3️⃣3️⃣3️⃣ #Issue155 of Thor (August of 1968) sees Loki, substitute leader of Asgard, commandeering the Warriors Three into battle against the vengeful monster known as Mangog! (Pic 3/4). But when Thor comes back home to Asgard he finds the Three in the midst of an insane bar brawl (Pic 5/6) kicking ads and taking names... all for a bit of fun!!! 3️⃣3️⃣3️⃣ Hogun, Volstagg And Fendral are definitely some of the coolest supporting creations of Jack’s storybook career, and their sleek and unique designs are perfectly suited to accompany Thor. Fendral is modeled after Erol Flynn’s Robin Hood with his Van Dyke goatee, Volstagg is a giant of a warrior with the appetite to match and Hogun with his Mongol inspired helmet and unique battle mace are all such amazingly designed characters.
