Yes, Aaliyah's music is what we all wanted for YEARS. I am seeing many people asking "what's going on" and wondering why we're celebrating but not celebrating at the same time. According to the recently released billboard interview with Barry Hankerson, the Haughton estate was not apart of the Blackground deal with Empire. This means no funds from the streaming will be given to the Estate. So now fans are torn on if they should pay and stream music (which would be supporting blackground) or not paying and streaming the music (which will be supporting the Haughton family).
