He's likely to get killed, but I've been too invested in the personality and philosophy of CM Punk - especially in the last few years of my life - to let a robbery keep me away from Cleveland tomorrow night for my first live UFC. For those who don't know, Punk is a former WWE Champion (longest reign of the modern era at 434 days) who got so fed up with what should have been his dream job that he just walked away from it mid-contract. Though I understand the hate he catches for making that decision, the fact is he wanted to walk away back in 2011, until he was promised very specific things that he feels they didn't deliver on by 2014. He let the bullshit mount to a breaking point, when he took his money and said "Fuck this, I'm not dying here" and, if what he's went on record saying is true, was for the best. He said he always wanted to do MMA, he took his sweet-ass time getting prepared (I ain't hating, but I get it), and is finally doing this. He might get his head kicked in. But goddamn does he ever look happier and healthier than he was before leaving wrestling. He's taking a shot. That's all he can do. And if he shocks the world and wins?!
