Listen, even though Serena has been the most successful, this legacy started with her sis, Venus. They came out, two brown girls from Compton with my name, rocking braids and beads (which I had also been doing at the time, despite being around nothing but girls with permed hair, trying to look older and other than they truly were) I have been in awe ever since!!
