After some of the worst ~48 hours of my life, I managed to eventually sort of forget about everything, or at least put it on the back burner, and feel like myself the second half of the day. I managed to clean the entire apartment (which was honestly what kick-started feeling OK at all, just having something tangible to focus on), go for a long walk (in 25F with 15mph wind lol), wash and dry my hair, make cookies, and make soup. I'm watching Bridgeton (god this show is so lame but addictive) and will go to bed early.

I need to emphasize that having this kind of day was genuinely unfathomable yesterday or even this morning. My entire being is depleted as I wait for more news with some dire medical situations in the family. So I'm writing this down because I'm grateful and I'm proud of myself.

I decided after my mom passed away that life was too short to not do the things you loved. I have always loved music, it has brought me closer to people, to God, it has brought me happiness. When I heard about this trip to Africa it fulfilled all of the things I was praying for in a mission trip. Not only do we get to go to Africa, it will be based around music, dance, art. Help me help others. I am so excited to go on this journey of complete and absolute faith. If you have ever wanted to go to a different country but couldn't make your way there then this is the perfect opportunity to do that indirectly! We will be working with orphans and widows...for more info on it read below and thank you for taking the time to check out my page. RURO Worship Camp will engage children, ages 2-13 years in worship and the arts. Our desire is to expose them to various art forms: vocals, music, dance, art (painting) as well as technical arts such as photography and videography. Worship (in all its many forms of expression) is a powerful tool. Our hope is to teach and train the next generation of worship leaders, artists, musicians and technicians who will share the gospel in creative, compelling ways and lead their generation and the next into a meaningful relationship with Jesus. RURO will host this week long camp at Smile Africa Ministries in Tororo, Uganda. Smile Africa currently cares for more than 400 orphans and street children each day through their feeding program.
