So my birthday (!!!) is this weekend and this is the first of the gifts I’m getting for myself:

This girl is from 2009, one of my favorite FR Nippon dolls! I kind of forgot about her, but saw a listing for her on Ebay and was totally reminded of how gorgeous she is, and there just happened to be one on Mandarake for a good price.  I absolutely despise her outfit, more specifically the harlequin top, but her face is an absolute cool-toned dream with the metallic lid and pale lips, very much my aesthetic.  She came a little dusty/dirty which I expected from the listing description, but pretty much perfect (especially after taking off the heinous outfit)

Her hair is such a beautiful color; after referencing some of my dolls it looks like a blend of Champagne Dark and Hi Ho Silver saran, which is good to know because I think I’d love her with a long middle part in the same shade.  Here she is after I washed, boiled, then flat ironed the hell out of her hair for a nice flat, slick straight look:

Her layers aren’t even, will probably fix that tomorrow. But golly is she gorgeous, I love super cool-toned makeup looks and she brings it to a whole other level with the cool, pale skin, the ashy hair and the barely-there lip color. I’m not sure what else I want for my birthday, I don’t really give a crap about birthdays (mostly because they remind me of my mortality, and I have an obsession with living forever lmfao) but I use them to justify spending a shit ton of money on myself. I want to get a new resin but maybe I’ll get some more FR Nippon instead.
