I once went to Dragoncon several years ago, for my bday, and attended a ‘meet Danny Phantom and the gang’ event, where some kids had cosplayed as the characters from the show and it was wild.
Not wild like, in a crazy way, just weird wild.
No one knew how to act, people were asking them stupid questions about their ‘actions’ in fanfics so obscure the irl people didn’t even know where they were from.
But the worst was when someone asked ‘Danny’ what he wanted to be when he grew up, and the kid who was playing him (white wig and spandex suit. Also was hella skinny) answered, “idk yet, maybe a doctor?”
And I about lost my ever loving mind so badly that I left right then and there before I might say aloud “HE WANTS TO BE AN ASTRONAUT. HOW THE FUCK DO YOU NOT KNOW THE BASIC LORE.”
