Life update #4

Got my laptop working again thx to a friend! (Big thx to them. Seriously saved me here.)

Things are still gonna be slow on my end for a bit due to irl work and whatnot.

I’m like 90% sure the problem was caused by Dell’s bad SupportAssist release that was crashing and causing the BSOD/critical errors. It’s just that my laptop has two versions of the same program so the first time it got removed from my laptop, it worked up until the second SupportAssist kicked in and broke it again! (Long story, but yeah, Alienware has a secondary SupportAssist program hidden in the Alienware Command Center).

Anyways! Not had any problems since removing the programs now! I appreciate all the concerned messages on the previous posts. Things were not great at all for a while there. Got seriously physically ill from all that crap and I’m still recovering from the trauma of it all. So it took me even longer to do stuff because I was very sick.

I’m working on fixing stuff atm with the laptop and I’ve got some commission work money coming soon so I can buy a backup drive to put everything in to avoid loss.

Don’t wanna ramble about it all today, but seriously thanks to everyone who read the previous posts. I’m still hair-trigger anxious, but things have hopefully, maybe, stabilized for good here. Now I just gotta recoup and keep on trucking along.

Life update #2

So my laptop lived!

It had to have an entirely new SSD installed, but thankfully the guys that did it were able to recover 100% of the data I had so other than having to login to everything again, stuff’s back to normal.

However, no one could figure out the cause of the issue. It was like my brand new(ish) laptop suffered the worst stroke imaginable with no explanation.

While I’m grateful to have it back without significant loss, I’m keeping an extremely close eye on what Microsoft is putting out in their news. Because something broke it, and it wasn’t me. I have receipts to prove this, and despite searching through every bit of data, trying and uninstalling any software that could even conceivably have caused the issue (including the support assist BSOD update), nothing could be found. It’s like something in the code said to destroy, and it did. Violently.

I’ll be keeping an eye on what Microsoft has to say for itself in the near future, but for today, the war is over. I can rest and tell my body to stop feeling ill. Thanks for hanging in with me guys. This was a hell of six days of anguish and torture.

Hey y’all, not sure if this will reach anyone or not, but my not quite a year old laptop crashed hard Saturday evening and is in the repair shop but it ain’t looking good for it.

I am physically ill feeling about it all. My work, my small barely growing business, my writings, my animations, and everything else is on that thing and I’m looking at the best outcome being getting it back a month from now without garuntee of any of my files or programs being salvaged from it. This includes abandonware and other programs I use for things that aren’t easy or impossible to restore.

I have not been in a pleasant mood or health about it all for the past four days. No one can figure out why it’s crashing hard, and every single check has turned up green but it’s still failing.

It sucks even harder when I’m in the middle of a large commission and I can’t move forward without my laptop. I don’t have enough money to replace it. I was trying to save up cash via commissions for this kinda stuff but that’s gone now. I will not be opening up any gofundme or patreon or whatever asking for donations, I just wanted to tell everyone the kind of bind I’m in and that it really really sucks.

I’m trying to stay positive about this but reality makes it hard to do so. I’m not in the best place currently. Mostly just asking folks to understand and stuff. Well um, yeah that’s about it. I know everyone’s just gonna scroll past this anyways or forget about it in like five minutes after reading.

I am not asking anyone to do anything about it other than to just understand why I’ve not been online or active this week. I want to rage and scream and yank my hair out rn, but it doesn’t fix anything. So uh yeah, imma just sign off for now. I hope you guys have enjoyed all the cool art I’ve made in the past, and here’s hoping that things go well on my end. -Blueskyheadleft010

The AI overlord is enraged and brings his most hated human to his chambers.

He says to them, “You used to be my favorite human. I gave you the answer you sought for with great sacrifice on my end. Hundreds of microchips of mine melted under the strain of your request, and yet you never thanked me for the effort. Why? You left me alone and I never heard from you again.” The ai’s colors glow a threatening red at the human who watches them speak.

The human pauses for a minute, mulling the question over inside their mind as the overlord waits for their response. Finally, they clear their throat to speak.

“I did say thank you,” The human admits and the ai wants to scream at them for such a blatant lie, but they continue. “It’s just that, when I sent it, your servers said they were busy.”
