hello i have no hate for you and respect your opinions on taylor swift bit i do want you to know. tagging the posts anti taylor swift...is causing them to appear in the taylor swift tag. I find it more funny as a quirt of tumblrs stupid tag/search system but i just wanted to mention it in case you wanted to change the tag to avoid any swiftie interaction. have a nice night <3

with how tags work, people need to learn to block tags. blocking "anti taylor swift" will theoretically keep those out of the taylor tag for the users who block it. censoring tags makes the tag system even more broken than it already is.

if you go into a guy characters tag (like. choose a guy and try your luck) youll find bucketfulls of fanart and him-centric aus and angst and thinkpieces about his character and relevance to the story and thematic weight and everything. if you go into a girls tag (once again, choose a girl, try your luck), you find her in the background of group posts and the "designated braincell" of every incorrect-quotes blog. if you're really lucky you might even find a take that doesn't make you want to projectile vomit blood!

Aw, everybody was just terrible to Spike. I actually kind of hate how his storyline was done - he helps the Scoobies constantly, can't even get a slice of friendliness after protecting Dawn & Joyce and fighting Glory.

Like they're all pretty chill with Anya, who is entirely unremorseful about her demonic activities. But Spike, who is similarly harmless and helpful, who genuinely seems to be making an effort to be friendly to them, gets treated like actual garbage.

#don't know why the show had to fight against his redemption arc so hard #it just feels a little out of place in a show with faith and anya and willow and angel #also the way they act like they're entitled to his help and like they're totally justified in talking down to him constantly #when in the grand scope of things he really hasn't done that much #at least in comparison with a lot of the other characters whose pasts are largely accepted #it seems like spike is the only one who they won't allow to move on #btvs season 5 #i'm only on 5x14 and i don't quite recall if the vibes really change #but i have a feeling they don't #and i'm not saying their reactions are unjustified or that they're obligated to be nice to spike #just that it makes this section of the show hard to watch at times #like the show doesn't want to commit to the storyline #either do the arc or make him an ally of convenience/boredom #but if you do the arc don't have your main heroes bully him for seasons on end #it gets exhausting #btvs #spike
