Trinity has never noticed how...pretty, for lack of a better word, Dennis is.
It´s a random Friday night, spent as usual, hanging out on the sofa and yelling at the tiny TV in their messy apartment.
Trinity sips at her canned espresso martini, half heartedly mumbling quips to her roommate´s dumbass questions.
When Dennis pauses the movie again to ask her what´s going to happen next, she whips around to bark at him.
When her eyes snap to his face, she stops dead.
The light of the TV illuminates his face, reflecting off pretty curls and bright, almost sparkling eyes.
He looks beautiful, she realises.
Struck by the sight, she just stares at him for a bit, mouth agape.
By this point, Dennis seems to have realised something is wrong, and leans in to check on her.
"Hey, Trin? Don´t tell me you´re having a stroke, you know damn well we can´t afford that ambulance ride and since you won´t let me drive your-"
She doesn´t hear any of what he´s saying, staring at the movement of his lips.
She can´t contain herself anymore and rushes forward to-
Trinity shoots up from the sofa, suddenly wide awake.
She looks around wide eyed, having to make sure it had really been a dream and she hadn´t actually tried to-
She glances over to see Dennis drooling onto a pillow, curled up into a small ball in an unconscious effort not to crowd her.
His mouth is wide open, letting out loud snores.
His hair sticks up in all directions, and once again he looks like the pathetic boy she picked up from the hospital a few months ago, not the twunk brother from another mother/best friend/emotional support punching bag he has become to her.
A small smile sneaks its way onto her face, a private sign of affection she would never allow herself to show to anyone.
She takes a deep breath and schools her features into a cocky grin.
She throws the nearest pillow at his face, delighting in the way his eyes snap open comically fast.
"Holy shit Fuckleberry I just had the worst nightmare of all time, you owe me at least 3 rounds of shots."
A pillow hits her head.
