Client just emailed very concerned that "her version" of the slide deck we'd helped her update to our new (actually readable, standards-having) style suddenly "looked different" and she had been under the impression that when she shares a file via OneDrive, it sends a separate copy (but doesn't change the name, apparently) and leaves the original on the sender's desktop.
Uh, that is anathema to the whole point of OneDrive. Which we've been using as an organization for 5 years (she's been here longer than I have). We have no desktop file storage; it is all in OneDrive. Our org's standard operating procedure is to not share separate files/copies, but to share a OneDrive link for live editing.
If you wanted to keep a copy separate, you needed to either have made a copy of the original and send it to us, clearly labeled, OR have made a copy and kept it for yourself. IT has 2 resource pages, a self-paced learning module, monthly webinars, and a help chat available for OneDrive.
Luckily, we have versioning! But, ma'am. If you didn't want to share the new slide deck yet, why did you put us on a super tight deadline???
