     Light falling snow glitters through the cold night. The quiet mountain with frosted pines is softly illuminated from the lift station. The TRAGEDY that happened up here a year ago shows no signs, everything as picture perfect as an untouched, snows-caped portrait. Guilt doesn’t color Yu’s usual stoic features, though. The knowledge there, but thread-bare in thought.

     Sharp playfulness tugs the line of Yu’s mouth and steel hues shine with jubilant mirth. He’s the PREDATOR hunting prey. Tongue lolling between sharp teeth and puffs of white escaping in clouds with each exhale. His patient steps are silent when he presses his back against the towering oak.

     Yu’s gloved hands scoop up the snow lining the ground. Packing the white clumps into a ball, he reaches his arm back and winds up for a throw. The snowball zips through the air with a trail of flakes drifting off behind its round shape.

     ❝Heads up, Yosuke!❞
