15. What was comforting to your OC as a child? Do they still find comfort in that now?
Ffe'ud spent a lot of time imagining leaving the fruitlands, going to university and becoming someone important (scientist, engineer, whatever). It kept her mind off the feeling of rotting away as a nobody. As she grew older, that morphed into resentment and anger -- that in a different universe, she would be someone important and that being born in this place, in these circumstances, was much less than she deserved. But that was later on -- as a young child, it was just a comforting daydream.
19. What traditions or stories does your OC carry forward from their childhood to the rest of their life?
After escaping Ascendancy space, Ffe'ud thought very little about her life before, mostly because trying to remember dredged up traumatic memories from the Force cult (teenage years). Besides, even if she did remember, she wouldn't consciously hold onto it.
Still, some things survived: deep breath + imagining it coming out through her feet, for example. She learned that at a very young age, and it remains something she does, almost as a superstition. Lef was the one who taught her, though she doesn't remember that now. And Lef's birthday -- the most significant day of the year for her family, though Ffe'ud was in the dark about why. These days, that day just pulls up a lot of negative feelings that she tries to ignore.
