Name: Volt Powell

Volt comes from a large and influential family. As expected by everyone around her, she attended the best schools, achieved high grades supplemented by a range of extracurricular and went into the military as a flight engineer and pilot. For a long time she was proud to carry on the family’s tradition of service and did very well in her position. But her loyalty was tested after the capture of an Exterminator Class weapon, P.S.H-EC2.0—TROUT. She didn’t agree with how her higher ups decided to treat him even after he appeared to no longer be a threat. He had no memory of what he was, so why torture him further? Disillusioned with the system she’d been so proud to be a part of, she took the captive and deserted. Volt knew she would be disowned by her family and would be wanted for arrest, but she couldn’t stand by and do nothing.
Shortly after their departure, she and the newly renamed EC, Richard, bought a vessel by the name of the Lord of Chaos. Slowly but surely, she built a reputation as a reliable courier, charter vessel and occasional smuggler. It was her decision to allow Skyler to stay with them as long as he liked after finding him as deliberately mislabeled cargo. However, this made her an enemy of Umbra Ursi as well as of the state and the Organization which created Richard.
Volt Powell leads her small crew with confidence, trusting in each of them and expecting that same trust to be returned. She negotiates firmly when needed and can often talk her way out of a fight. If ever she or her crew need anything she has a network of allies and friends in all corners of the solar system. All things considered, Volt is confident she can keep her crew (which are about as close as family) and herself from those who want them captured, but at the same time she knows it only takes one mistake for their lives to go wrong. She must also remain vigilant to the possibility of such groups coming for her friends and loved ones outside the Lord of Chaos.
