i’m so in love with the way you draw viktor <33 he’s gorgeous in your style
Omg thank you!!! It means so much!!
I saw this vintage fashion ad the other day and was struck by how Grell-esque the central illustration is; I thought you might get a kick out of it too <3

Hi everyone, I know my blog is usually very lighthearted but there’s an issue I’ve seen cropping up a lot (especially in the TSC fandom) and I just want to discuss it. This is obviously not directed at anyone, it’s a general awareness post for everyone.
Basically I’ve noticed that people ask to be in creators (of all type)’s tag lists and then when the post is posted, the person tagged likes it and then moves on. It’s so demotivating! Especially when someone has asked and asked and somehow continued asking about a fic or edit and then they don’t reblog it. This also happens generally, people see creators work and just like it. They may also leave a loving comment, but it doesn’t really feel the same to a content creator. It’s obviously appreciated but, why not reblog it and write your comment in the tags? That way you can spread it too. It’s that easy. This may sound like not too big of an issue but it is, TRUST ME. As a creator of sorts, I know it’s a problem. The reason it’s a problem is that it’s so discouraging to the creators. It feels like people don’t like it enough to have it on their blog. Overall it just causes creators to, after a while, stop making things.
This isn’t Instagram y’all. There’s a reblog button for a reason. The like button, in all honesty, is just a note adder. The reblog button is the important button. That spreads work and means that all your followers can see it. Liking helps no one. Eg. when I see people reblogging my work rather than liking it, I get more excited. Obviously all support is appreciated but reblogging sometimes just helps a creators peace of mind. It means people see it and actively want to show others. It boosts creators confidence so much! More than you can imagine.
It really does hurt when you look at, for example, a meme or shitpost (I think that’s the name given to them? - if not sorry) and it has for example 500 reblogs or 900 reblogs but then the edit or fic that you spent FOREVER making for others to see, gets maybe 100-200 reblogs. It’s obviously different for everyone and all support is really appreciated but it just stings a bit to see your hardwork not getting spread. It’s demotivating and honestly, it’s the reason some content creators just stop making content or delete all their content. Many creators are discouraged in the TSC fandom for that reason and the other, above, reasons.
It’s as if people make Tumblr blogs only to like things and then leave. What’s the pain in reblogging someone’s hard work? Obviously if there’s something triggering to you, please don’t feel obliged to reblog it. It doesn’t make you a bad person because you didn’t reblog it. But if it’s an edit or fic that you LOVED, then why not reblog it? Why not leave some love in the tags? Feedback is an amazing motivator for content creators. It helps SO MUCH! You feel like ah, people did, in fact, enjoy what I made. Then you feel motivated to make more! That’s a plus for content creators - they’re making more content and feeling motivated and appreciated, and for the people seeing content - yay you get more content!
Thank you for listening and if you actually read the whole post (thank you for that), please give it some thought. It’s not meant to target anyone in particular but even if you think ‘Yeah! I reblog loads!’, just give it a thought. If it turns out maybe you don’t reblog much then.... maybe you could start reblogging?
All it takes is one click of a button. It can really lift someone’s day, trust me.
love people bringing beyond content in my inbox it makes my day bbetter
I actually absolutely adore all of your headcanons?? Absolutely all of them. They make sense, and I can't help but agree blindly and full-heartedly with them. I'm sorry if I sound like I'm laying it on thick, but that's the gospel truth :D Do you have any other assorted headcanons for any other characters of Voltron that no one's asked you about yet?
First of all, thank you! I appreciate how much you like my headcanons! They are the result of meticulous world-building and plotting! So to hear that someone adores them means so much to me!
That said, I have so many headcanons, I don’t even know where to start! Give me some kind of direction because there are probably so many hiding out in my head that I wouldn’t even think to mention.
~Shiro used to be very open to partners and types of intimacy before he went off to the Kerberos mission. Now he is very skittish and sensitive, and he wants to be his same playful self, but it’s hard. Now, Shiro is very self-conscious from his scars and everything he’s been through. He wants to power through and be strong, and anything involving intimacy must be meant for anyone but him. In the meantime, he’s the one that needs intimacy and to be someone’s someone more than anything.
~Yes, Lance might have some self-confidence issues, but he’s also going to be the one that tries his hardest to succeed on Team Voltron. One of the things that really gets me is that, when he’s flying Blue for the first time and says that “we’re all ditching class tomorrow” so much must have been going through his head. Would the Garrison treat it like he dropped out because he couldn’t handle the pressure? What would they say to his family? That he’d snuck out and had delinquency on his record, but this time he just didn’t come back? What if the first time he woke up the Castle of Lions, he was so scared about the choice he’d made. And regardless, he sticks it out, no matter how terrified he is, because he’s going back to earth and he’s going to make his family proud.
~Hunk is stronger than most people give him credit for. He’s smart and salty and really knows his shit because who else could have hot-wired a Galra lift under fire? Who else could have held up the Taujeeran ark? Who else could have figured out the Weblum? Yes, Hunk is a bit of a ‘fraidy cat and skittish and unsure, but he’s also an incredible engineer, a better pilot than he thinks he is, and a sassy bastard. I actually love him for being kind of a pessimistic jerk and looking at things in a more practical sense than the others who use their emotions.
~Galra are the single most underrated beings in the entire show. I want to see their history, how they interacted, what their home planet was like and what was important to them. Surely, Zarkon must have loved things about being Galra too before he went crazy, he must have been courting someone as a mate. I need DW to stop killing off all the Galra so that we don’t get invested with no payoff. There is no one side to a story or a war, but it’s all too often that the stories are told by the victors. So when we see Voltron from the view of the Alteans, who are most certainly not the victors and that there are Galrans who believe in Voltron as a HOPE, that tells me there is so much to this story. The Galra don’t just exist to be the “bad guys”, they are just like any other people who have endured a war and a loss greater than themselves.
i just wanted my last day at this job to be like, even vaguely chill and it ends up that my boss, who is on vacation rn, managed to ruin it in leaps and bounds
