Vox usually likes being around Velvette more than Valentino. Even when he doesn't think she's his daughter, she's just easier for him to wrap his head around since she's mostly human-looking and not blatantly queer in the way Val is. Val's bitter about it, but at least it gives him another excuse to bail and dump all the responsibility for helping Vox onto Velvette.
Would you still love me if I were a funko Pop
did my makeup in a sad attempt to cheer myself up hah 🦋

The witch was nervous. It had been years since she had asked for someone to spend time with her. Everyone else had kind of just inserted thenself into her life. She had been okay with that.
But this? This was nerve wracking.
"If you have the time, would you like to... hang out?" She felt herself stumble over the last part, the words unfamiliar in her mouth. Brown eyes blinked back at her in surprise as Jaehee Kang responded.
"Are you sure? You don't seem exactly comfortable with that." Jaehee said, her attention having been drawn from where she had been watching Jumin and V playing with the twins and Squall.
"I would like to spend time with you." The witch finally said. "The phrasing was what I was not comfortable with."
Jaehee looked at her and nodded slightly, almost to herself. "I'm not the most exciting person, but okay. When?"
"V is taking the boys to a movie tonight if you would like." The witch said, trying to stop her smile from turning into a full out grin. "We can watch one of those musicals you like."
"I'd love to, but do you have a tv?" The witch looked towards their living room and a television suddenly appeared. Jaehee jumped slightly and looked back to the witch. "Did you just steal that?"
There was a pause and the witch slowly reached up and touched the end of her nose. "No."
Jaehee couldn't stop herself from laughing.
~
"What can I call you?" Jaehee had asked when she'd arrived that night. The witch had just set the dvd in the player and she returned to the couch where Jaehee was already sitting.
"Noona. It's what the children call me." Jaehee nodded slightly, and her focus was instantly sucked into the television.
The witch couldn't deny, the silver haired man Jaehee called Zen was a very talented actor. She turned and told Jaehee as much and much to her surprise, Jaehee's face absolutely lit up.
"Isn't he?? I'm lucky beyond compare that I know him." Jaehee was grinning and the witch tilted her head.
"How do you know him?"
"He's a member of the RFA. Or was." Jaehee hesitated slightly. "We're not exactly sure what the state of continuing the RFA will be."
"I would apologize, but I am in no way sorry." The witch said, and internally she winced at how harsh her tone had been. The musical was paused.
"Can I ask you something?" Jaehee's voice was soft, and the witch looked over and nodded. "How did you become a part of this? It's been such a short time and suddenly Rika is in jail for fraud, embezzlement and starting a cult, and you're suddenly here, living with V."
Jaehee became rushed at the end, as if her thoughts were trying to move faster than her mouth. The witch simply smiled.
"A small red haired boy wandered into my yard. He then brought his brother and I felt more whole than I have in my entire life. I fought to defend that, and have found more pieces to add to that wholeness." Her tone was soft and wistful. She was being the most honest she could be.
"Am... am I one of those pieces?" Jaehee asked, nervousness filling her tone. She then shook her head and laughed awkwardly. "That was silly. You don't have to answer that."
"You are the first person in over a hundred years I have ask to spend time with." The witch said, taking Jaehee's hand. "I consider you one of mine, just as I consider V and Jumin mine. Not ones I intended to add to my family, but ones who found their way regardless."
"Okay." Jaehee said, voice slightly hoarse, and she leaned into the witch's side as she hit play again, Zen's voice ringing out in the room. The witch didn't bother to question Jaehee's rapid blinks as she attempted to stave off tears.
