In blood of elves, there is a point where the wizards must set up a telecommunication link. I wonder what the original polish said...because all I’m thinking of is wizards doing IT.

The Ivory Tower Wizard (IT Wizard #2)
It was their fist experience of the “while you’re here” mentality.
“Pray tell, doth thee have any more grievances with the matters of the arcane” said the Wizard instantly regretting it.
“Well, if it be naught trouble, I have this arcane device” replied the scholar, retrieving a apparatus of brass from a near by draw
“It worked for a moon, then morning came and the device did not stir” continued the scholar in an off hand tone.
“I beseech thee, what is its function?” asked the Wizard.
“oh my good fellow it portrays the stars even during the day. well, to be frank it did” they continued.
“oh” responded the Wizard flatly, realizing that this device was most likely powered by moonlight.
“and may i enquire where you keep the device, when the moon is out?” the Wizard continued.
“in the drawer, for safe keeping” replied the scholar.
“where you informed that i needed moonlight to function?” asked the Wizard.
“yes i believe it was mention, something about drawing its power from it” continued the scholar quizzically.
“and pray tell, is there moonlight in the drawer in which you keep it?” pushed the Wizard.
“no.” said the scholar.
“therefore is it not likely it has run out of mana?” concluded the Wizard.

The Ivory Tower Wizard (the IT Wizard #1)
It was their fist day as a Wizard at the Ivory Tower, and it was going to be a long day.
The Ivory Tower (IT) wizard, outside the aviary after a clerk couldn't enter due to the wards:
“I beseech thee, pay tell when did though establish this magics?” said the Wizard to a disgruntled clerk sitting on a stool across from the aviary door.
“Thou believe it to have been five, nay seven winters ago.” said the clerk begrudgingly.
Realizing the clerk had most likely tried to modify the ward without rebind it:
“and to whom be the magic bound?”
“one would presume the wizard whom held your post last” replied the clerk with indifference.
“then be it not unreasonable to presume the magics still be bound to them?” probed the Wizard.
“perhaps” said the clerk sheepishly.
“and would that not explain why they do not follow thou’s commands, any why thou hath been thrown out of the aviary near a dozen times this morning?”

Spending over an hour setting up a development environment on a Mac to remotely use dev tools on Firefox for Android to diagnose why a site isn’t loading properly on a mobile device and having to install a cascade of dependencies on both desktop and mobile was headache-inducing sorcery.
Tapping the build number in my Android device settings seven times to activate Android Developer Mode was insanity-inducing witchcraft.
